By definition streaming is parasocial: streams have large audiences, and you're not friends with these people. You feel like you know know them, but they don't know you at all: they're content producers.

It's also probably as bad for them as it is for you. If they are any good at media they will pander to their audience's idea of who they should be, which will attract a different audience and more expectations. Eventually they'll become possessed by their egregore-doppelgänger as their audience grows too large to conceive of as a collection of individuals.

What happens to a persons natural sexuality when they're performing the rituals of seduction, and crafting the media experience of intimacy all day, is literally perversion. It warps their desire.
