Bandai Namco has announced Tekken 7‘s next character: a DLC fighter called Lidia Sobieska, who is the fictional Prime Minister of Poland.

After teasing a new downloadable fighter back in February, Bandai Namco has finally lifted the lid on the last character in the game’s Season 4 Season Pass, following on from the addition of Kunimitsu who arrived in-game in October.

“After the Tekken Force arrived into parts of Poland, the Polish citizens cried out for a stronger leader and Lidia answered that call!” notes her official description.

She’ll arrive in the game on all platforms on March 23 and will debut alongside the new ‘Island Paradise’ stage – which even has a sunbathing Lee/Violet in the background. Excellent! Check out the video below.

“Lidia has always been an upright and resolute woman. She believes that justice requires absolute power, which is why she has shown great interest in karate from a very young age,” her video description continues.

“The loss of her father stoked her interest in the family tradition of politics. Lidia showed great qualities in both areas, entering and winning her first karate world championship at 18, and more recently being one of the youngest rising stars in the Polish political arena.

“The war started by the Mishima Zaibatsu is greatly affecting Poland and she is committed to settle the situation with her own fists.”

Bandai Namco has not mentioned whether or not there’ll be another Season in Tekken 7 now that Season 4 is wrapping up, but you can likely expect to hear more about the series’ future plans soon.

Leroy and Fuckyouman made me hate stance characters but I've been enjoying her. It helps that she isn't a Nu-character that's explicitly made to replace old characters.

RIP Wang and Bruce.

Is she actively broken the way those two were/are? I know Leroy is still top tier and Fahk just ate fat fucking nerfs.

As a person that loves Tekken, she exemplifies the strong woman very well. Though, it’s a shame our North American game designers can’t seem to grasp this.

Doesn't feel like she is. She cribs the stances and parries from the other two, but she isn't anywhere near as oppressive. She's a lot like DJ or Paul where most of her staple moves can pretty consistently be stepped, but the transitions into different stances make me think of Feng.

Unlike Feng, though, she isn't really good at dealing with being out ranged our sidestepped. I'd gladly get rid of all her unneccessary just frames in exchange for a reliable (and preferably safe) homing CH launch move. Maybe that's me just being really used to Bryan's mach kick.

Tl;dr she's not launch Leroy tier cheap, only gonna be a menace until you exploit her linear moveset.

Feng is both highly vulnerable to sidestep and being outranged, so I don’t know what you’re talking about on that front. It’s good to hear that she’s not absolutely broken like most of the newer characters have been though.

I guess I should've said "by comparison". Feng has enough options to deal with sidestep as DF+1, B4, and ws1 cover his left at his optimal range. Also has better homing moves in general. If you're just throwing out F3,4 to close the gap everytime like a madlad ofc you'll get stepped, but he's not too linear.

With Lidia it feels like you're fighting Lili everytime.
