Id rather see a valiant effort at mecha than this shameful display.

Last time I did mecha I used a sketch up model.

I have no scruples about tracing 3d models if you can make it look good, but at the same tike I'm getting better at drawing robots just by using dynamic forms rather than just guessing. Using 3d shapes as a basis, makes all the difference.

You guys don't understand, Google is hard and has no set schedule. In case you weren't aware of what goes into referencing an image, allow me to enlighten you.

She would have to turn on the computer, wait for it to boot up, get bored and go smack around Lewis, watch some videos on her phone, remember what she was doing earlier, eat a small amount of McDonald's for an average person, come back to the computer, open up Google Chrome, open up her cheap knock off photoshop program, watch more YouTube, go back to Google, type out 'Optimus Prime', spend minutes looking for a good reference picture, copy it to her art program, get bored, steal Lewis's snacks, go to bed, wake up, yell at Lewis for not feeding the cats, wake up her computer, get back to drawing, finish it after five days of fucking around, and then smack Lewis if he tries to offer criticism.

I probably could have gone longer but this is getting long and autistic.

Like the bullet point list, which he was clearly reading off a script, is pretty cringy, but the hyperbole people mock him for it makes it worse than it actually is.

Phase Nine will either be divorced, fatherhood or some illness caused by his shitty diet.

Where's the proton pack? Why not replace his Autobot symbol with a Ghostbuster symbol? Hell have him be Ecto-1. So many possibilities and she went for lazy flasher. I guess I was wrong. She's given up a lot sooner than I had thought.

Honestly, I think she was trying to draw something more ambitious, but she took 10 minutes on Optimus's head, then went "FUCK IT!" and drew the flasher jumpsuit and went "DONE!"

That flies out the window once I realized there's a reason its called "capeshit" (emphasis on "shit") and that I would be better served by reading novels or watching 2001 A Space Oddysey or something.

I'm actually kind of surprised Linkara never became a writer for Marvel or DC, as its not like their comics are any better than his storylines.

90% of anything is shit, but superheroes pervail in media because they strike a cord with people, and you can still tell great stories with them.

But given it never really changes and is just years and years of the same old same old with occasional shake up events, like turning dick grayson into "rik" because the writer has issues with penis envy...

Anyway great power comes with great responsibility and the writers have lots of power but no responsibility to tell good stories.

I think it isn't just hyperbole, but the tone used that creates the mockery people make of it.

Throughout the progression of the video, Lewis sounds increasingly unhappy and frustrated - annoyance turning into anger - to the point where he feels blatantly attacked by his viewers, who are more interested in his stupid side project than they are in his main show. At which point he could have made a poll or something, asking viewers what they'd rather have - a longer break between videos so he could focus on History of Power Rangers, or set these videos specifically at something like 3-4 month dates, with possible alterations based on when he can do it - in short, instead of dumping HoPR as soon as it's done, have a backlog since it's not like the show necessarily had to be done 'in real time'. Plus, he could always take the extra time to add in new facts that he learns between productions.

But nope: he'll just whine and complain about his viewers like an ungrateful jerk.

Did he even finish this thing?

That’s pretty much it. Linkara took the worst possible route to address the lack of episodes and updates on production. And this may have been the earliest time of him making a mountain out of a molehill and making a giant monologue about simple topics because reasons.
