About the Author:
First up, writer Iron Liz Skochil. You might remember her from her online tabletop RPG review show “The Pen and Paper Corner” on Channel Awesome, as a side character on Lewis Lovhaug’s comic review show “Atop the 4th Wall,” or her cameo as Cloak #2 in the Channel Awesome Anniversary movie, “Suburban Knights.”

But you see, the Lightbringer story doesn’t actually begin with her. It begins with the idea’s original creator, Lewis Lovhaug. He originally released it as a self-published webcomic, with his original superhero concept known as The Lightbringer. The original comic was criticized at the time for its controversial themes and subject matter, and Mr. Lovhaug would later release the Lightbringer Intellectual Property into public domain in 2013.

But despite its roots, Liz has always believed in Lightbringer, and she believes there’s an excellent story in the making with the original idea. This project is by no means a remake, or a remaster! Instead, Liz has written a fully original story taking inspiration from the original Lightbringer setting, and altering the characters and story to give the underlying thematic concepts the serious consideration it deserves. This comic is by no means a parody or critique of the original work, but rather is a rework with a talented artist and properly paced story, to reveal the origins of Pharos City newest superhero… the Lightbringer!

The first scene is political figures talking about a new unknown force which threatens their highly illegal, racist and transphobic operations in Pharos City. Then a dark figure bursts forth into the room shouting

“Don’t you talk about me you son of a bitch! It’s me, the Lightbringer!”
There he is! Get him out, throw him out. Don't give him his coat.

Are we sure it's actually Iron Liz writing it instead of Linkara sullying her name by pretending to be her?

I mean, she seemed rather happy to be away from the crazy internet fame bullshit, so this seems out of left for her.

If you spend time with Lewis, you walk away with the impression that writing is very easy to do.
This was half the reason Lewis wrote Angel Armor; he thought if some high school kid could write the best seller Eragon, then he totally can write the next Narnia. The other was that he thought he was apparently wasting away his "creativity" by not using it.

Then he wrote rape fetish bits, recycled his shitty lightbringer comic arcs, recycled his shitty jokes, and expanded on a messiah complex that wouldn't be out of place on a sleazy C-list indie film from the 1970s as done by a delusional car salesman or lawyer who wanted to act, write, and direct a film.

Thundershlock isn’t Liz. From what I remember, he was a high school buddy that fell out with him.
Are we sure though?

It's hard to believe there exist more than one person (outside of Linkara) that to this day is under the impression that there are some innate potential in the lightbringer story.

Maybe some petty reason? Saw how easy others got under his skin an decided to take a crack?

I can believe that more than one person would think that Lightbringer would be better in different hands. Just remember all the many, many different folks out there that have come up with ideas on making Twilight better.

That being said, I don't think that Thundershlock is Iron Liz, but I do find it sus as fuck that she's suddenly re-emerged to write a new version of Lightbringer when she seemed happy staying away from internet crazy.
