At one point during the review he picked up a package of feminine hygiene pads after opening up the review with a hypothetical about being embarrassed to talk to a cashier about buying "tampons".

Linus is from, and currently lives in the greater Vancouver area. White people are less than 50% and ethnic Chinese make up the majority non-Caucasian race. You'll see about half of his staff is Asian, which is a demographically accurate representation of the area.
