That Starfire casting was an atrocious decision. What is with DC recasting almost all of their red headed characters as either black people or brunettes in their movies and TV shows? Jimmy Olsen, Iris West, Starfire, etc. They should have cast a pretty red headed white girl to remain true to the character, and to save the makeup department some effort.

It's not just DC, marvel go in on it during spider man and their's been a couple of minor inccidents. They were just a bit more subtle about it.

I have no idea what it's about, I'm unsure if they hate gingers and black people so they think they're comparitable in their fucked up heads or if they just think of ginger people as disposable, but it's a weird little pattern that they ginger are their go to guys to change race.

Rachel Roth wakes up from a nightmare in which trapeze performers the Flying Graysons die. Her scream grabs the attention of her mother who is murdered by a man. Meanwhile, in Detroit, detective Dick Grayson is investigating a disturbed young girl before returning to the Detroit Police Department where he is greeted by his new partner Amy Rohrbach. Later that night, Dick confronts child abuser and drug dealer Tyler Hackett in his vigilante persona Robin. The following day, Rachel makes her way to Detroit where she runs into Dick and tells him about her darkness. Dick offers shelter for Rachel, although her soul-self doesn't trust Rachel. Rachel barely escapes, only to be kidnapped by a cop. In Vienna, Austria, a woman barely escapes from a car crash. The woman finds a passport which shows her identity - Kory Anders. Kory stays overnight at a hotel, trying to regain her memories. Kory finds a room where a man is tied up, who reveals that "they" have found the girl Kory is looking for and must contact a man named Konstantin Kovar. Meanwhile, Rachel is taken into the police department where Dick is requested to speak to her. Rachel requests help from Dick and tells him about her mother's death. Dick refuses to help Rachel, and leaves her on her own. Kory finds Kovar at a club where she kills him. Kory finds an image of Rachel, the aforementioned girl Kory was looking for. The man who killed Rachel's mother kidnaps her and explains she is the key to unlocking a door which he has to close. Dick rescues Rachel, whose soul-self kills the man. Dick complies in helping Rachel and tells her about a safe place. In Covington, Ohio, an electronics store is raided by a tiger who escapes the store in a forest where it transforms into a human.

Tl;dr Robin’s an asshole, Raven has a “soul-self” that talks to her, Starfire has amnesia and kills people, and Beast Boy is a thief.
