That's right, it's happening right now, as we can now determine who can win our Lolcow Of The Year 2016 award!
Unlike previous competitions, this will take a completely different format. No more knockout rounds, no more group stages. Welcome to the knockouts of hell!
There will be altogether 70+ lolcows joining the competition. Yes, it's that small for now, but even when one remains at the end, it still doesn't guarantee the title. Read on for more....
1. Format
Starting Format:

Ten (?) Five:
- 70 lolcows are chosen from a list based on the total views for the lolcow threads. And nope, CWC and ADF are no longer in the competition and they will be in the Julays Awards, which will be held soon.
- 10 of these lolcows will be placed on the poll.
- The remaining 60 lolcows will be placed in the shortlist. More on that later!
- For each of these
1213 rounds which will last for only 24 hours, users will have to vote on which lolcows can stay in the poll. You can vote for more than one lolcow on the poll! - After each round, the bottom 5 lolcows on the poll with the least amount of votes will be eliminated! These will be replaced by the other 5 lolcows on the shortlist. This will continue on until the shortlist is empty and 5 lolcows will be left!
- So after all the eliminations, we are then left with only
105 lolcows in the poll. Users can then still vote for more than one lolcow on the poll to determine which lolcows can stay. For each round per day, the bottom2lolcowson the poll with the least amount of votes will be eliminated. - This will continue until 2 lolcows are left, and users can finally determine which lolcow will be the last one standing!
- So after all these crazy eliminations, we will then be left with one lolcow. But is this the end? Nope. Any lolcow can do crazy shit sometime and it's really unexpected. Some lolcow might commit suicide over petty shit, some lolcow might commit a crime that might catch the media's attention. Sometimes, there might be lolcows I miss which could have a chance too.
- Throughout the competition, if any eliminated lolcows or new lolcows get their threads featured and their actions are incredibly exceptional, they can immediately challenge the lolcow left in the poll. For each title defense round, only one lolcow remains.
- This will continue on until the New Year's in New York. (https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/newyear?p0=179) The lolcow being left will be crowned Lolcow Of The Year 2016!
