Our favorite tournament is back in action, with again another new way of voting!

1. Quality Over Quantity Experimental Edition

Last two tournaments managed to see a few underdog surprises here and there, but most of the time it's won by the big cows. So just for experiment, we'll narrow down all the active lolcows to just the main 27. How do we do it?

In order for a lolcow to qualify for the qualifying stage, it must fulfill the following requirements:

1. The thread must be last replied after 1 January 2016, and the thread must not be locked due to underage, not being lolcows etc.
2. Once again, no communities are allowed. Save them for the Julays.

2. Qualifying Round

Unlike the previous tournaments, the qualifying round will be split into a few groups. People are allowed to vote for more than one lolcow in each group:

Just an update: For the qualifying round, the votes will be in PMs. I'll let you know what will be the format for the votes in PMs, so stay tuned!

Dramacow Group: Where lolcows have the Dramacow tag as the prefix.
Artcow Group: Where lolcows have the Artcow tag as the prefix.
Rat King Group: Where lolcows have the Rat King tag as the prefix.
Cosplaycow Group: Where lolcows have the Cosplaycow tag as the prefix. Needless to say there's a few lolcows for that group lol
Horrorcow Group: Where lolcows have the Horrorcow tag as the prefix.
Careercow Group: Where lolcows have the Careercow tag as the prefix.
Skitzocow Group: Where lolcows have the Skitzocow tag as the prefix.
General Lolcow Group: Where lolcows have the Lolcow tag as the prefix.
Halal Group: Where lolcows have the Halal tag as the prefix.
Misc. Group: Where lolcows have no tags at all as prefixes. Usually old threads.
Loveshy Group: Where lolcows are from the Loveshy Subforum.
Tumblr Group: Where lolcows are from the Tumblr Subforum.

The top two lolcows from each group will qualify to the main stages, along with Christian Weston Chandler, Ahuviya Harel and True Capitalist Radio who are automatically qualified, which will leave us with 27 lolcows in total!

Nominations are open! Please PM me your votes (votes which are posted here instead of PMs are NOT counted) and follow the following format in order for your vote to be considered!

There are altogether 12 categories for you to vote for. You can only vote up to a maximum of 3 lolcows per category. You don't need to vote for all the categories though!

Unlike the previous Julays where there are some lolcows which are nominated for different categories, each lolcow is specific to only one category. This means that if you want to vote for Andrew Dobson, it must only be in the Careercow category and not Artcow or Dramacow. I will notify you if you vote for the wrong category.

2. It must not be locked due to the lolcow being underaged/not being a lolcow/PA request etc. There are exceptions for locked lolcow threads, such as Julie Terryberry.
3. Obvious joke threads are not counted. (I'm looking at you, FRANCE thread)

I will then calculate the votes and choose the top two lolcows with the most votes for each category. In case of a tie, the winner will go through by number of posts in said lolcow's thread. If your vote for some categories are invalid, you will receive a PM from me about it to fill in it again.

3. Main Stage


Stage 1: All lolcows (except Chris and ADF) will be drawn into 5 groups of 5 lolcows. The lolcow with the most votes in each group will qualify to the next stage! (Click here for the group stage draw!)

Stage 2: The winners from each group are again, drawn into a group. This group however allows people to vote for more than one lolcow. (which once again, excludes CWC and ADF) . Only the top two lolcows with the most votes are qualified to the final!
4. Final

And this will leave us with just 4 lolcows: CWC, ADF and 2 winning lolcows. This will be in a round-robin group stage format, where lolcows are voted against each other one by one in a World Cup Group Stage-like format. The lolcow who tops the group will be awarded The Lolcow Summer Tournament 2016 Winner!

That said, I'm going to speculate that our winner is likely to be one of the lesser (meaning, not Chris or ADF) trannycows. We shall see, I suppose.
