A while back I tried opening a wiki, but the effort was rather short-lived because of ongoing drama.
With the shortcomings of Encyclopedia Dramatica, the looming antiquation of sonichu.com, and the incessant cropping up of wikia.com wikis for every person who's ever had a Lolcow thread, I desire to make a new Wiki for any and all drama surrounding people of interest. I've received support from most of the staff and users are perpetually showing interest when the topic comes up in chat.
After the forum rebanding, my next goal will be to get the wiki rolling. There is already content on it, but it needs to be rewritten. I need smart people who are familiar with Wikimedia syntax and the organizational meta of large Wikis. There will be content about people which only requires one page, and then there will be content that requires a huge number of pages and projects to organize effort. I want to emulate many of the aspects of Wikipedia and its content management efforts. If you're as privy to that nerd shit as I am, PM me.
The main challenge with the wiki will be enforcing an modified version of WP:NPOV. The goal of the wiki is not to be entertaining in writing style, it is to be entertaining through content. Many of sonichu.com's failures came from writers trying to be stand-up comedians. Nobody wants A-Log writing jokes into the body of content they're reading just to catch up on an event.
If you think you can write an article that is both informative and neutral, PM me an example. Write an example article that you feel would fit into the scope of a project like what I've described. It can be anything.
Good Examples
(These articles are an example of what I mean by meta, by the way. "Person Name", "Person's Object" "Person and Noun", etc. I need people to help enforce and set up templates for these things.)
Bad Examples
Again, the goal is to write an informative article you feel fits the wiki. I encourage citations. PM it to me. Explain why you chose that topic.
