I've been meaning to make this topic for a few days now after hearing about the death of HappyCabbie, a fat troll that really rustled the feathers of YouTube spergs from what I'm hearing. ED has the full scoop on how he died and everything because it happened just a few days ago.

https://encyclopediadramatica.se/HappyCabbie#Rest_In_Pieces_Fat_Prince

The only reason why I even know about this is because I saw news about his death on my Twitter feed and when I was digging into other cows, sometimes I'd hear this guy's name brought up in a negative context in old drama that these people often have.

What really bothered me more than his death was the way people like this reacted to it. He's letting someone that was basically a trollcow get under his skin so much after death and it's over retarded YouTube bullshit too. I don't know what's more pathetic, the shit that this HappyCabbie guy did or the absolute a-logging on display in this video and I mean the guy has been on the forum before and made a plug for us, but I think he let this get under his skin way too much and the thing is that a lot of people thumbed up the video too, so there are probably some a-loggy comments in the video too.

My question is how would you react to one of your favorite lolcows dying and what do you think is an appropriate response to one dying at all?

If I were HappyCabbie it would be a little easier dying knowing that I was still rustling jimmies beyond the grave. Holy shit that guy is butthurt.

My reaction to a lolcow death would really depend on who it was, though. That would range from Nick Bate, who's death I would celebrate with extreme A-Logging, to Chris, who I'd genuinely miss.

All others would be somewhere in the middle. Phil is an example of the exact middle. I wouldn't shed a tear but I wouldn't throw a party, either. I really wouldn't care. He's pretty much a worthless person and the world wouldn't be diminished by his absence from it.

Most of the rest would be at least slightly on the "well that's too bad" column.

I could never bring myself to celebrate someone's death, or allow myself to be happy because of it. It is true that in most cases they are beyond real pity or redemption, but "worthless person" is still a person at the end of a day. They could have been something wonderful and amazing by living out a full human life, and their death would only ever mean the final loss of their potential to do that. That only makes me sad.

While they lived, though, some of these guys were fucking hilarious, and I'll drink to that.

I agree completely. Most I'd be ambivalent about, but some - such as those who are truly mentally disturbed, as opposed to just loud and obnoxious with a bit-o-tism thrown in - I'd feel sorry for; they really never seemed to have a chance (Crazy Gail, for example. Unless I'm wrong, she has genuine problems telling fantasy from reality).

There are still those, however - such as CWC, Davarooni, and particularly Jon Sweet - who I'd be happy to see posthumously entertaining the masses after someone exhumed their bodies, preserved them, affixed cables to their extremities, and performed graphic and intensely homoerotic marionette shows.

If I heard of a beloved cow dying, I'd pour out a 40 and press :1: for a day or two before moving on with my life.

I can't say the same for Fedsmoker, though. Not because I love him dearly, but because he's an indestructible superhero.

For Nick Bate or James Terry Mitchell, that just isn't the case. Their only potential accomplishment is more raped children. If they die, anyone who could have been impacted by them is objectively better off.

A solid position with a lot of emotional appeal, but I not convinced that all rapists or child molesters are inherently beyond redemption or atonement. I understand that my position is viewed as monstrous or abominable by nearly all of the general population (or perhaps simply as philosophically unpalatable), but even in prison I would be willing to let them contribute something to society and it might still ultimately have been worthwhile that they lived, at least in some sense. I just can't bring myself to play so loosely with human life. In any case, I seriously doubt that their only potential accomplishment is "more raped children" as if somehow, doing terrible things is the only facet of their personalities that ever has or will exist. It is tempting to believe that, because it is easy and makes the person feel good that they are truly human and the other side is not, allowing them to feel superior and more righteous. Righteousness is an addictive feeling however, and people are willing to let their opponents sink very low on the scale of human dignity to acquire that coveted high. I am suspicious of any argument that boils down the opposition to a single, irredeemable evil. No matter what they did.

It is a hard position to take, and at the end of the day, you are not unjustified in your feelings. What they did was unquestionably sinful and evil, and they must be punished- drastically and severely, but no human being is "only evil" and deserves to be remembered that way. To celebrate someone's death is to throw away the sanctity of human life.

I know that whatever (tiny and insignificant) reputation I may have had here it basically being sacrificed by this post, but I stand by it.

Meh. Not all human life is sacred. There's over seven billion humans lying around the planet. We can spare a couple Nick Bates.

Ooh, you who else? Monica Punk. But only if she died having gotten stuck in something. That'd be hilarious!

They make more people every day. Too many, in fact. Every life isn't precious. Not even close. Most are at best worthless and many have negative value.
