The thing is, Chris lives his life like this because it's the way he was taught to live it. As the cwcki says "Bob and Barb are enablers par excellence"

They taught him that Autism allows him to live as a child and accept none of the responsibilities of being an adult.
They taught him that he's never wrong. If he's banned from something or told not to do something, it's the other person that's in the wrong.
They taught him that everything he does is amazing (the whole creative genius thing)
They taught him that he doesn't need to get a job. Bob himself put that idea in his head by saying he gets more on his disability allowance than a job would net him.

In the grand scheme of Chris' life, people not bowing to his wishes are in the minority. Of course he's dead wrong, but it's a lesson he refuses to learn.

That quote has been around long before the Far Cry franchise was even an idea. You can't even be diagnosed as "insane", as far as I know, it's primarily a legal term.

In order for Chris to be considered "insane", he would need to demonstrate that he can't distinguish reality from fantasy. And as much as the more negative members and the A-Loggs would like to claim otherwise, Chris is doing fine in that regard.
