It’s so funny to me that Lori and Kevin think they’re so slick whiteknighting as an anon over on the lolcow thread. Funny how the white knights only show up on the anon thread and never over here. I’m an oldfag and was around during all of the livejournal drama from day one and was actually ~blessed~ with access to Lori’s sacred friends list, so I saw everything unroll front and center. She absolutely has not changed and deserves every single thing that is happening to her. Somehow she was allowed to fly under the radar for a very long time without consequence. AND SUICIDE ATTEMPT​

Everything discussed in this post is alleged. This is a sensitive yet important subject to cover to fully understand Lori's character. No charges were ever filed and I'm not aware of any primary documents currently available that are related to these alleged events. The initial posts by people involved have since been lost to the pixels of time. As with most information about Lori's past, she has proved to be an unreliable narrator and details about these alleged incidents are fragmented. Fortunately, there are some secondary references and memories from which to piece the story together. This archive of fandom_wank from Journal Fen is a helpful source: [LINK].

A big consideration when making a thread about Lori was and is the well-being of her many victims. I hope this can bring some healing and closure rather than retraumatization to them. Due to the sensitive subject matter, I won't identify the victims. If you know who they are, please respect their privacy and refrain from naming them here. Regarding this alleged incident, here are the nicknames used to protect the victims' privacy:

- Victim E: She was a 16-year-old Sailor Moon cosplayer who looked up to Lori as a cosplay senpai (master). Luis, Lori's second husband, got the minor drunk and raped her. When Victim E asked for help, Lori laughed in her face and encouraged her to commit suicide.

- Victim C: She was an older teenager and member of the Sailor Moon cosplay group. While C was likely not a minor at the time, it's necessary to note that she reportedly had special needs including developmental delays that 1) impaired her ability to navigate the world and 2) made her seem younger than her chronological age. Lori abandoned her in Baltimore and she spent most of the night alone and lost in the city.

THE ALLEGED EVENTS​

INTRO: As I understand it, the alleged incidents happened between 2002 to 2004 at Otakon, an annual summer anime convention held in Baltimore, Maryland at the time. Lori was reportedly a legal adult at the time as was her 2nd husband Luis, who was nearly 10 years older than her. Lori, Luis, and a group of Sailor Moon cosplayers attended Otakon. The other cosplayers were teenagers and some of them were minors. Prior to Otakon, Lori befriended these younger cosplayers and presented herself as friendly, sweet, and quirky. Many of them looked up to Lori as a cosplay idol.

LORI THE TYRANT: Luis, Lori, and the teenage cosplayers who idolized the legendary Usagi Kou all traveled together to Otakon via Luis and Lori's car. Unsurprisingly, it sounds like Lori was her usual dictatorial self at the con. While dragging the Sailor Moon cosplay group around the convention all day, Lori insisted that food and water breaks were prohibited. She even forbade her cosplay group from holding water bottles as it would "ruin" pictures. Victim E later fell ill with bronchitis and believed this grueling experience with Lori was the cause. Victim C had a mishap with her costume and was not able to dress up with the group. Therefore, Lori refused to let Victim C be in any pictures, made her walk separately from them, and appointed her as the group's pack mule to carry their bags, run errands on their behalf, and bear the brunt of Lori's hideous attitude.

"I noticed it was gone [Victim E's public post] too, now I wish I'd saved it as well. Summary: Introduces herself to the audience as the girl who Luis, Lori / Usagi Kou's former husband (fiance at the time, I think) cheated on Lori with. Explains how she met Lori, went cosplaying with Lori at Otakon for the first time, with some others including a mentally disabled girl [Victim C]. Lori was a big bitch and dragged the cosplay ground around, depriving them of food and water breaks (now I'm wondering about potty breaks), and not allowing them to even carry water bottles because it would ruin the pictures. This contributed to Victim E getting bronchitis.

Later, Luis and Victim E are left along in the hotel room while Lori and some others go out to find someone, I think it might have been the disabled girl (problems with her as well - Lori treated her badly, made her go alone somewhere after she forgot her costume, I forget the details). Anyway, Luis offers her a drink, at first she refuses, eventually gives in, has too many drinks, and Luis rapes her.

When Lori and company come back, Lori gets really pissed off at Luis and Victim E. Victim E, having just been raped, is really upset, and takes a bottle of pills, with Lori watching over her to ensure she took every last one. We never learn the physical effects of the pill, although we can surmise that it didn't kill her. Lori and Luis (at least) speed off leaving the others stranded at the con. Victim E refuses to give back the costume that Lori left. Hell, I would too. I may have remembered some details incorrectly, but that's the basic gist of it."

THE ABANDONMENT: At some point, Lori decided that she didn't want to be seen with Victim C and instructed other members of the cosplay group to abandon her in the city of Baltimore at night. Victim E was friends with Victim C but felt intimidated by Lori and complied with her demands. The group knew that Victim C had some special needs and, alone in the city, she soon became lost.

The girl stayed behind in case disabled girl got to the room before others could find her. And in the comments she did describe the effects of the pills. Basically vomiting, dizziness and the like. I think her friends carried her around until she met another friend at Otakon that let them stay in their room. Afterwards Lori tried to make her pay for the hotel room and return the costumes they paid for."

THE SEXUAL ASSAULT: When Lori's cosplay group returned to the hotel, Victim E became concerned that Victim C had not returned to the room. Realizing that she may be lost in the city, Victim E plead with Lori to make a search party and look for her. Lori, who had earlier forgotten that Victim C existed, begrudgingly agreed. Lori and the other Sailor Moon cosplayers left the hotel to look for Victim C. Victim E stayed behind with Luis in case Victim C returned to the hotel while Lori and the cosplayers looked for her. It's theorized that the teenagers may have chosen to leave Victim E behind at the hotel because they feared that Lori would lock them out of the room if they all left.

With only Luis and 16-year-old Victim E in the room, he plied her with alcohol. Victim E refused at first but eventually had a few drinks. Luis then allegedly raped her. When Lori and the other cosplayers returned to the hotel room, Lori became furious with Luis and Victim E. Victim E was understandably traumatized and incredibly upset. When she told Lori that Luis had raped her, Lori allegedly laughed in her face. Then, Lori allegedly encouraged Victim E to commit suicide with alcohol and over the counter pain medication. Lori supposedly watched over Victim E as she swallowed the pills to ensure she took all of them.

At this point, the story gets a bit murkier. It's understood that Lori and Luis quickly fled from the con via car and left the teenagers stranded. However, there are contradictory accounts of whether Lori kicked the teens out of the hotel room or if the teens took Victim E to seek help. Unfortunately, the teenagers decided to seek out other friends instead of take Victim E to the hospital or notify an adult. Victim E reportedly experienced dizziness and vomiting after ingesting the pain medication and alcohol. After finding a friend with extra space in their hotel room, Victim E was eventually taken to the hospital and thankfully survived the horrible ordeal.

After Otakon, Lori allegedly demanded that the teenagers 1) pay for the hotel room and 2) return all of Lori's Sailor Moon costumes that they paid for. Victim E refuses to give back the costume that Lori left behind in the hotel room as she and Luis fled the scene of the alleged crime.

POSSIBLE CONFIRMATION: As discussed in a previous post, this recent comment on Lolcow.farm reeks of Lori, Kevin, or an old Kou. To my knowledge, Lori has never directly addressed the allegations regarding the con rape and suicide attempt until now. Kevin could probably make decent money selling cosplay props etc. on Etsy, but Lori is too controlling to allow that. It's a recipe for a nervous breakdown and end of a relationship when he can no longer be her IRL paypig.
