Oh Kevin, you really don't want any friends do you? Pretty sure cosplay as a profession, either making or wearing, is like 80% networking. It depends on how many people know you exist and would also like to work with you. If you end up being a douche, you will get blacklisted or canceled by your peers, who are also the best advertisers for your craft/products.
There's no point in him getting back into cosplay, he's already ruined his reputation and anyone who might not know about it would be turned off from even talking to him with this "pay me for answers" crap.
It's funny, the trajectory he was on pre-Lori could have led to him making money off of his craft but that has no chance of happening now.

I actually didn't even read his post closely until now. It's a shame he thinks too highly of himself that he thinks his attitude is warranted. His stuff is pretty good. But his shit attitude and his association with Lori has squashed any dreams he had of being taken seriously in the community. Big name crafters like Yaya Han and Kamui have done video tutorials and answered questions for free. Kevin needs to learn some humility, but it's obvious he's insecure and thinking if he helps someone with their cosplay they might be better than him or get more recognition.
That's exactly what it is. If he shared his knowledge, someone might do better than him. Like he's already jealous of what MIGHT happen. Also Lori is probably berating him "Don't give anyone advice for free! Don't forget you're my peasant and I need to pay for ugly nails at the salon!"
The only way he might have a shot to rebound is if he drops Lori and goes on an apology tour like an alcoholic or celebrity who got canceled.
I can't believe we've been talking about this shitshow on here since January and nothing has changed. They've been together since around 2017? The perseverance he shows in keeping a toxic relationship going could have easily been translated into a decent cosplay career. He thinks he'll never find another uwu cosplay girl like Lori but if he gained notoriety, he could have had plenty of cosplay fangirls to choose from. And not all of them would be fat. In the pic with the ugly baby blue lingerie thing she wears over and over, you can tell she’s scrunching up her toes. It's got to be on the Kardashians level of hundreds then she picks the few where she looks skinny and white enough. Then she blasts them through the Meitu wormhole and adds Instagram color filters OVER THAT. And these are supposed to be "candid" glimpses into her daily life. It's sad. Not even funny. It's just genuinely so pathetic to watch someone who is almost 40 put this much time into running from fate.

I used to feel bad for Kevin, but now I’m convinced that they’re shitbirds of a feather flocking together. He’s an idiot manchild in a sexless relationship with an aging narcissistic womanchild. He probably thinks she’s the best he can get, which isn’t too surprising since guys like him usually have these unrealistically high standards for what they expect in women despite themselves not being anything worthwhile.
I feel like he would try to go with someone much younger than himself if he did leave Lori. I don’t see him being able to maintain a healthy relationship with someone his own age or someone normal. Lori on the other hand would have to be able to find another guy with low enough self esteem who’d be happy to spend all his money on a lizard like her.
If his cosplay career had taken off, as it was appearing to be, he could have probably had a pick of cos-girls he wanted.
That being said, I believe he thought being with Lori would "take him higher" despite her already having a poor reputation from the past. If she had apologized and actually changed and rebranded and her and Kevin had started making cool stuff together, I think they could have been something. I remember Lori had an Etsy account with some nice handmade crafts when she was still in Seattle. With Kevin, Lori would have had her window back into the cos community and Kevin would have his "perfect uwu woman."
Instead, they had a very public and violent break-up, the pictures of his mutilated leg were posted, Momokun ended up looking like a hero for rescuing him, and it's been back and forth ever since...2018?
Kevin, four years later, is still in denial that he is the reason that everyone got back on Lori's radar. Literally, who cared about her before 2018? The LC thread I think was already there, but only to reminisce about old early 2000s vintage milk. His public outbursts about their arguments are the reason they have this new, even worse reputation. No longer is he "Kevin the crafter." He is "Kevin the Kow."
Lori is toxic, but no doubt she absolutely hates him for this.
