That I noticed, I admit I skim most of his posts. I am personally doubting the nail fell off story. I think he has a nasty lesion that needs some care to heal, and probably indicates an underlying problem (diabetes) that requires medical attention which is why I personally recommend it, not because I believe that toe is crippling him. But that otherwise he is seriously playing up the severity and probably exacerbating the wound he has shown us exists. Maybe. Wouldn't put it past him to lie about it with photos of some infected toe. And getting off his feet is not the one and only treatment. He needs, you know, wound care.

Anyway, we know he is not a caregiver. He hardly leaves his room. Much like him pushing for help with the one and only treatment he wants (money so he doesn't have to stand up) I also suspect there are easier ways for him to get to a store and transport groceries home, he just doesn't look for them or mention them because it's easier to get money for a greater hardship.

Conclusion, he doesn't want help. He knows exactly what he wants and yes, his life is just an ongoing scam.

Clearly the increased negative attention is getting to him - his beg messages are now about 80 percent justification and 20 percent actual begging. Of course, if he were to stop buying stupid shit (or at least stop TELLING us about it) he wouldn't have to justify himself at all, and as a bonus he'd have to beg a lot less in the first place.

He just disgusts me, and I enjoy seeing him fail. He pretends he is suffering when he is fine; he relies on everyone else to feed and support him; he has nicer things than I ever did when I was in poverty, and he's too stupid to use his grifting to better his life. I also just can't help but look away, Lou is a special kind of trainwreck that I get a lot of laughs out of.

Also, yeah, I grew up poor and learned the value of money pretty quickly. Compared to what probably most people go through, Lou is living a life of luxury, but he relies on his donations so that he can buy his wants. He could survive without them considering his mom provides house and home for him, but he needs the donations to live comfortably. That's the difference that either he doesn't get at this point, or he refuses to acknowledge because then the donations would dry up.

To add to the medical discussion: there are usually clinics that will see people without insurance for relatively cheap. Hell, when I had insurance with a high copay, it was better to go to the no insurance place because it was only $50. Obviously getting prescriptions are a bit more (generics are $4 at Wally World, thank goodness), but I'm pretty sure Insulin is a lot more than a regular prescription.

Also to clarify one thing: Louis would not be classified as unemployed under government standards. To be considered unemployed, you have to be looking for a job, and I doubt Lou has done that in the last 10 or so years. Somewhere earlier in the thread, he admitted that he had been "unemployed" since 2008 or something. I highly doubt he's looked for a job since then. So he doesn't count towards the stats of unemployment. He is simply considered "out of the labor force".

To elaborate on my point a bit more: my current job involves looking at a lot of medical history.
In very general terms, I'm working for my gov't handling disability applications.

Whenever you spot the word "diabetes", eventually, you run into a succession of notes, treatments, procedures like "Patient admitted to the ER. By their own admission, they bumped their nth toe into a furniture two days prior, lost all feeling yesterday, turned black this morning" or "Patient noticed a small cut or bruise late, developed ulcers that turned gangrenous". Lose a toe every month or two, then, eventually, amputation below the knee. Frequent visits to the local nephrology ward once/twice/three times a week, then their kidneys fail, and they get a platinum member's card for visiting every day. It's fucking horrifying.

Diabetes is either a minor condition compared to their "central" issue, or it's practically killing them. No middle ground. Even the smallest lesion could cost him his legs, and at this rate, it will.

Here's a tip for free, you pretend-pennyless turdwaffle, because I don't need your money, and you're certainly going to need it more: stop stuffing your ginormous gut with junk food and carbonated sugary piss, fuckface. Stop spending every minute sitting at your gaming laptop, get up off your lardass, and take a long walk to the nearest market. Your joints are probably busted, and won't improve, but you can actually stop their deterioration by using them, you terminally lazy he-whale. Stock up on fresh vegetables, fruits, and meat, and improve yourself by learning how to cook them. Even if you won't lose any weight, you might escape losing your legs instead. And a painful death by a perforated stomach ulcer, you shapeless blob of fat. Maybe use the experience to start a proper weight loss channel of all things, that could help you a lot with your e-begging as well, you sad sack of shit. Lose some weight and gain some respect, too. I feel it's less people are particularly upset at Louis, and more it's his actions. Now you "need" money because Anthrocon is cancelled and you've yet to get your money back. So what is it? Louis, this still doesn't make sense. Once again, you can't have it both ways. If the glasses you wore earlier were an older prescription, why were you wearing them before your current glasses broke, and why didn't you use the fact that your backup glasses aren't the right prescription as a point of begging? Otherwise, if you mean "older prescription" as in the lenses are the same but it's just an older frame, why does it matter that you get new ones if you had a backup handy, and why would you not mention this fact unless you maliciously knew withholding that information would make people more likely to donate? No matter which way you look at it, you were blatantly using your broken glasses as a ploy to grift more money via donations, and either way is scamming. Quit digging and take your lumps.
