Lou obviously doesn't research shit before he buys games, if he did he would know that ff14 is known for having the literal feature of being able to play every single class on one character. He can take whatever he wants, change whenever he wants.

But hey, if you read this M8, FF doesn't have anything really like hunter except arcanist/summoner, which is a caster with pets. There's rouge/ninja too, but you have to unlock it in game- you can't choose it at the start. Most classes are like this, as the job system works by having a base class and equipping a "job crystal" which allows you to swap between jobs just by switching out your equipment. You have to level up your base class to 30, plus another class to 15 to unlock the quest that gives you their job crystal. There are many other classes that are in the DLCs that are job only classes, so you don't need to level up specific stuff for them but I think there's a level requirement to do the quests for them.

And yeah inb4 sperg on not being able to make a female tiger character because that race is gender locked to male only, someone mentioned that before lol. Im guessing he will make a cat girl instead, or have an identity crisis and change his furry to a bunny girl cause he falls in love with that race.

Luckily I'll be on a different sever to him (assuming he goes on the NA data centre that is), but part of me wishes I could see what kind of player he would be. Just don't be a shitty healer like Clawshrimpy, please.
