Sustained Denial of Service attacks. Paid for botnet. Service will continue to be disrupted until I can contact other providers and arrange a fix. Sister services to the forum will have longer downtime. There's still ongoing service-level attacks which are causing intermittent errors and general slowness.

When Lou 'wants' something, it's always something he actually has to purchase. He doesn't want a library near him to carry the books and comics he likes; he needs to buy them (although with the 'rona, I'd let this particular one slide), he wants new games, and doesn't want 'new for him' games; either used or older games.
There's plenty of old abandonware games that are free to play (If you know how to get DOSBox working, you don't even really need to get things through GOG, if you're not picky.) There's tons of gaming sites to play free games on, there's lots of free to play games on Steam... but no, he has to go for the $60+ AAA BS. It's not just he buys games; his taste is so bland.
Just like his taste in 'sonas, too. Tigers and Lions; big cats in general really are pretty much Fursona 101: Charismatic Mammals. 102 is Fantasy Animals and 103 is Hybrids: How many is too many (the answer is 4/3rds. I've met furries with that ratio...) The fact he's sticking comic book stuff onto it doesn't make it more unique; in fact, it's the opposite. What's next, a fallout gas mask and a radioactive tattoo over the fur? Although to be honest, a toxic waste tattoo on Lou would be points for 'Truth in Advertising"
And just like his diet. Nothing new, or interesting, or DIFFERENT. Just mainstream consuming; can't even bother flavoring his water himself, and there's so many options of various sorts (Hey Lou, I know you're reading this so here's a nifty tip, and I'm being actually honest and helpful here. There's lots of flavored extracts you can put in basic water or seltzer water to have it taste the way you want! There's all sorts of ones that make flavors you can't even buy!) I'm inclined to believe him on this one. GNOME (the default desktop environment for Ubuntu 18.04) uses a retarded amount of memory, so running it on a 13 year old laptop sounds like an agonizing experience. LXQt consumes less memory than XFCE, but isn't quite as customizable. I'd suggest trying out Xubuntu first, even though GTK sucks dick compared to Qt.
"I am nothing if not a lifelong student" is quite an ironic statement from somebody who consistently fails to learn anything.

I had done a quick scan of the twitter earlier and aside from the stuff here it actually sounded marginally more wholesome than usual, though rolled my eyes at the laptop purchase when he was claiming he had no money at all. I think he was sort of trying to wheedle into someone's d&d group and I sort of hope he gets in (for him, if not for the unfortunate other players) because honestly that sounds like something that would be... idk, an actual HOBBY? I'm in favor of literally anything that gets him to do something productive with himself.
The dinner sounds nice and healthier than his usual fare, but also expensive (you wouldn't get a salad at shitty cheap italian takeout, and you factor in that tip too, it adds up). Either he splurged and also fucked around outside all day despite yelling on twitter about how anyone going outside is personally murdering his immunocompromised parents, OR he ate out with the fam who are not nearly so homebound or as evil and transphobic meanies as advertised.
Idk, a 50/50 day.

I dunno. Like you, I'd like to see Lou doing something that got him out of the house and interacting with others, but I'm pretty sure that if he did get into a D&D group he'd instantly become a classic example of That Guy and they'll wind up kicking him out after getting sick of his shit, unless he's "lucky" enough to find a group full of That Guys/Gals.

Ngl, it'd be stellar if Lou turned out to be a good team player or a good DM (which would be a great chance to put his creative writing skills to use), and was able to play a fun and relaxing campaign with some other people. But I imagine this is a more likely scenario if he somehow gets into a group: He'll roll up a character with a homebrew race of [insert current fursona here], write out an overly detailed physical description, and waste more of his ebeg money on commissioning a portrait of his character. Then he'll try to fudge all his ability rolls to give himself max stats in everything, REEEEEEE at anyone who accused him of fudging his rolls, concoct an absurd Mary-Sueish backstory with no flaws or negative traits whatsoever, REEEEEE some more when people tell him that he can't possibly be the lost tiger-kin sister of [insert whichever female superhero he's latched onto now], and bitch and moan when the DM tells him that he has to come up with a better backstory and stop trying to flirt with the other PCs. When they actually start playing the game, he'll get mad and blame everyone else when he botches a saving throw and his character gets mangled in combat, whine and moan incessantly until the healer finally fixes him up, REEEEEE out again when he spends all his gp on whatever shinies catch his attention in the first shop they reach and the DM refuses to let him panhandle the other PCs for more, and then finally he'd have to start his character all over again when he suffers his latest identity crisis.
After obsessively making dozens of twitter accounts over the past decade, Lou finally puts his foot down and threatens to leave the site for good because people block him.

I'm pretty sure the way it works is that blocklists are collections of @'s, not specific account numbers, so of course it's gonna say he's not on any at this time. Although it's funnier to conclude that everybody who blocks him does it purposefully because they think he's annoying.

If he doesn't know the accounts, how can he know he is blocked?
Because he has to go comment on other people's tweets, and sees that people have blocked him when others reply to them, or something.
