I’m not certain that copyright law is involved with doing cover songs, but I seem to remember it being at least common courtesy to ask the original artist for their permission.

Doing a cover of a copyrighted work does require obtaining a license. You know she hasn't done that, she probably doesn't even think music can be copyrighted.

Most song covers can actively get demonetised/claimed if the writer/licence holder is a highly protective of the works they are involved with. Which is 98% of the time the case.

The videography is terrible, the choreography (or lack thereof) is awkward, the composition clashes, the audio is mastered like a boosted meme on 4chan, the singing isn't good but isn't touched up in editing so that it sounds decent. All of that combined makes it look like a school project. Big yikes man.
Lucy wants desperately to be famous. She doesn't have the singing talent to be a famous singer. She doesn't have the appearance to be a famous model. She doesn't have the personality or intelligence to be a famous personality. So instead she steals popular content. I'd pity her if not for that last part, because normal people don't resort to crime and instead find something else to be good at and realize being famous isn't for everyone.

Did they actually steal the music from the Adele version? Not 'fair use'. Someone just went through court over just sounding like someone else's music recently.
I mostly meant to imply that posting her hilariously bad attempt to be a pop-singer was fair use. Since we intend to react/critique/ridicule it. Sorry if I phrased it poorly. It was an unnecessary joke.

This is a girl that should never wear a ponytail or pull her hair back. It's like a chipmunk hoarding nuts in it's cheeks for winter while having a 5 head.
Adele did a performance of the song. The song itself is also protected under copyright. There's the lyrics and the composition, both are protected. Lucy's cover is a performance that she owns, but without the proper licensure, she does not have a right to commercialize it because it relies on the copyrights owned by the writer and composer of the music.
I'd love to see the absolute horror and confusion that happens when she gets a copyright claim on her cover. "But it's my cover, I own it, they can't claim copyright!"
Someone should post this in the Star Trek thread and see if anyone even notices.
If you're gonna cover a song you should do one by someone who has a far superior voice to you unless you can do something interesting with it musically. This ain't it.
