I presume this is what the SJWs refer to as "cultural appropriation" when they tard rage about it.
This is just pure speculation but based on my interactions with a Britbong white chick who was like Suzy, my reasoning is that the culture of the UK doesn't put as much of a stigma on stuff like that than the USA does. This isn't necessarily true of all Britbongs, but white ones are much more confrontational when it comes down to their rights to say or do whatever they feel like saying (given the recent trend of the UK government trying to censor the internet, this is entirely justified). Indeed, the entire idea of social justice in the UK seems to be more lipservice than actual attempts to cater to that idea.
Weeb chicks in the USA generally don't do this because the stigma of cultural appropriation is much more prevalent here despite the fact that the Japanese actually don't care about weeaboos and cultural appropriation. They may wear cosplay stuff and have generic anime names on social media, but their outward presentation in their day-to-day life is that of someone who simply partakes in the fandom.

It's been mostly quiet I believe. Suzy's views are in the shitter and she's MOSTLY backed off from pirating anime on YouTube. Whatever show she is stealing is getting around 15k views. She made an attempt at some transformative content by making a top 5 of her favorite characters or something but that didn't garner many views either.
Tipster got demonitized as was already said, and so was AugieRFC. They both believe Suzy and Steejo are responsible. Steejo made some vague comment on his Twitter after Augie got demontized that it was just the beginning but didn't address anything directly, then Tipster happened.
So I think Suzy is getting real threats from anime companies and had to back off and take shit down, but I think her and her "lawyer" are pulling some strings in the backround to drag the commentary channels through the mud.

I hate when youtubers put that disclaimer on their channel in general. YMS did the same thing in his Kimba streams, saying shit like "omg, I feel bad for making fun of them, but fuck them, they are posting mis-information" and then blurs out their profile pics and usernames in his screenshots.
First of all, I've always believed that people should be called out for their bullshit, regardless of age/race/gender/sexuality/etc... in the past I've seen videos that were like "oh, well certain people are posting/saying some really stupid shit/shit i disagree with", which defeats the purpose of calling someone out in the first place. If you don't have the balls to call them out by name, then don't fucking say anything. Even if it's from a large group of people, show the fucking proof.
Second, by you going "oh no guise, pwease don't attack these peeples!", it's going to have the complete opposite effect and have people WANT to search and find out who these people are and troll them. Do these fucking idiots not know how the internet works?
Lastly, YouTubers should not feel responsible for what their audience does UNLESS the YouTubers are actively saying "hey, go fuck with this person because I don't like them". If one person out of the thousands of your fans decides to want to be a dick, thats on that one person, not you.
Dumb bitch can't even spell DEMONETIZED properly...

Some sperg has tried to call out John Swan as being a terrible journalist, despite John having never called himself such a thing. So much of the guy's own audio is muffled, his points are completely baseless, and the editing is absolutely atrocious with how he cuts the audio clips to talk over one another.

You can just hear the autism in his voice. I love how he says the "commentary mafia" does all kinds of shit like lie and clout chase, but he can't even provide one example.
