"The defective was so kind and the lady cop too" had me cracking up.
I guess it really did happen. Really doubt that she'd risk going to the police unless something actually went down; she'd have too much to lose by playing with fire like that, especially since the last time the cops paid her and Lurch a visit they ended up taking Lurch into custody, plus their place is full of drug paraphernalia. Her behavior still strikes me as extremely bizarre, but I want to give her the benefit of the doubt andhope she wouldn't lie about such a serious thing.
It's jacked up that this woman has cried wolf so many times and lied so much, to the point that people have to be skeptical of every single thing she says.
The police don't actually care at this point how unsympathetic Luna is, that's a matter for the DA and possibly a jury to decide. If there's video of any of it, they'll try to ID the guy and if they can, they'll pick him up and at least try for a quick incriminating statement. If it gets to an arrest, the DA will plead it down if arrest gets made (unlikely) or charges are seriously pursued (even more unlikely). The only way he'd ever do time is if he's already on parole and he gets violated. But will never get that far, it will be not be prosecuted at all.
There might be DNA left on her filthy clothes, but it will never be run unless the DA has some reason to run it. A five second rape won't cut it unless they're already trying to pin other sexual crimes on him and they need another charge to pile on. I imagine the defense attorney could run it if the DA was serious about prosecution.
None of this talk about hypotheticals means anything, of course. An interview the police is a only the first in a long link of a long chain of things that would have to happen and almost definitely won't before anyone is held criminally responsible.
