HumaNature Studios has confirmed actor Macaulay Culkin will become the Executive Producer for Toejam and Earl: Back in Groove!.
We cannot be sure how long this deal has been in the works, but there have been signs Culkin is a fan of the original game. During a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread, he said it was his favorite game. “I play it on a daily basis.” In addition, he tweeted he’d rather be playing the game than watching the 2018 Oscars.
Bunny Ears Games is now producing the game Toejam and Earl: Back in Groove! Speaking about the project, Culkin said “I’m honored to be producing the new ToeJam & Earl because it is literally my favorite video game of all time. Plus, Greg Johnson is the tits!”
Greg Johnson (Founder of Humanature Studios) had high praise for Culkin’s involvement. “Macaulay Culkin, the star of the ‘90s classic Home Alone is an Uber Fan of the ToeJam games. He totally gets the vibe and humor of the new game, and his involvement has made the game even crazier and more fun.”
Culkin has made other ventures in recent years, starting his own comedy satire website Bunny Ears in 2017. He has also had cameos on YouTube series, such as Red Letter Media’s Best of the Worst and Cinamassacre’s Angry Video Game Nerd.
