Magic The Gathering YouTuber (and self described shitlord, vague GamerGate associations), MTG Headquarters aka Unsleeved Media aka Jeremy is currently facing a witch hunt within the Magic The Gathering (children's cardboard game) community after a popular cosplayer named Sprankle accused him of harassing her. You may notice a lack of real accusations of anything, because there doesn't appear to be much. I saw a twitch clip of Jeremy calling her a "grifter", I think the implication is that he's making fun of her for being a glorified bikini model.

From my personal observation and vague knowledge of the MTG community I get the feeling that everyone hates Jeremy for being not in the SJW club, which is very much a thing in MTG-land. Looking for any reason to try to get him deplatformed in any way possible. There seems to be a consistent meme that if they just get rid of these toxic neckbeards they'll get more women to play the game, which is already having a decline in playerbase. Wizards of the Coast already making internal policy rules about "objectification of women" in their card art, which if anyone played MTG in the 90s it was pretty metal shit for kids (and since massively toned down).

The callout (note he's not actually being accused of sexual harassment) (

"Popular" MTG YouTuber TheManaSource lead the white knight charge: (

Another, even more popular MTG YouTuber "Tolarian Community College" joining in. I feel it's important to point out that this is like a 40-50 year buttoned-down dude with a full family, the idea of him having a panic attacks over a memey wannabe Sargon shitlord is totally fucking bizarre. (

Bonus RTs

He just put out a video response, I haven't watched it yet. I saw it as I was putting this post together. (Update: I watched it, it's the best source of evidence of the accusation, which is mocking her for being a glorified bikini model. It mostly confirms my belief that this isn't about the cosplayer, it's about people not liking Jeremy)

Jeremy responds in video: (
After being temporarily banned from Twitter, Jeremy immediately went into shitposting overdrive and he's stated he has already done an interview with Kotaku journo. There's too much to screencap, it's like Spoony or SecretGirlGamer level tweeting.

MTG is still a thing?
I unironically watch AlphaInvestments because I think Rudy is funny and I enjoy him talking about market shit. MTG card speculation is still totally a thing, even after Mt. Gox. Which on a related note, he's friends with _both_ Tolarian Community College guy and Jeremy. He's an overtly "no drama"/no social media guy, so I don't think he'll comment but it's still a weird bit of trivia drama. He regularly mentions both in his videos.

Pics of this fatty? They costplay MTG characters so I assume they're extremely fat.
She's okay, cosplay isn't my thing.

I do enjoy how when Boogie makes a milquetoast post about how "Everything is mostly OK. Stop blowing things out of proportion." you get some self-important spastic making multiple long tweets about how he's wrong and should feel ashamed.

People on the MTG subreddit are nobly rushing to the aid of a fellow lady by gushing over her existence when most of them would have never even acknowledged her existence had this event not occurred.

Apparently, some members of the community were already aware of and annoyed by her past actions in the community, albeit mildly.

The MTG subreddit mods locked that shit down quick when it hit /r/all, purged comments, locked threads. I guess they're specially curating comments now. There's a thread about this on GamerGhazi and they specifically link to this post praising the moderators for how they handled it, to give you an idea of what type of moderation took place: (

Another YouTuber is quitting making MTG content over the drama, blaming Wedge.
Wedge in the comments.

im glad i got out of MTG after that two main phase nonsense.

more on topic: if all it takes to destroy a community and send it's members into fits of lunacy is the accusation of impropriety vs any real, tangible, verifiable, evidence of wrongdoing; your community is not nearly as resilient or strong as you would like to believe it.

what community of any sort besides one composed of cowards would fear a discovery of truth after a polite inquiry?

Doesn't it seem like the more niche/stereotypically nerdy a hobby is, the harder they get hit by the SJW virus when they get infected?
Because they're pussies. Nerd hobbies have been since the 1980s the refuge of dudes who got their lunch money stolen by Chad.

Sjws like to pick on people weaker then them. They are parasites.

As for.mtg? Wouldn't the art value alone make them collectables after mtg is no more?

@CrunkLord420 Creepy Rudy is best Rudy, and I'm in the same boat. I've been out of MTG for an eternity, but I watch his videos.

And I whole-heartedly agree that there won't likely be a peep about it from him, he's got enough detractors as it is because he has the 'audacity' to call a turd a turd and discuss the inevitable downfall of MTG unless things change.

Haven't played Magic in years but it's pretty sad to see it infected and ruined by SJWs like this (the lead designer is one too). It's obvious that this is about the guy having the wrong politics and the cosplayer's hurt feelings are just an excuse to get rid of some wrongthink and to send a message to anyone who would dare to hold non-liberal views while playing a children's card game.

It should also be noted that he called a number of MtG Youtubers (Mainly Wedge and Tolarian Community, two of the biggest voices in this) out for being shills a while ago, so take that into account when you see how "concerned" they are for women and LGBTQ+ folx or whatever.

(The Quartering is Jeremy's wanna-be Sargon YouTube/Twitter name)

I agree with Jeremy on the case of "The Prof." (the Tolarian Community College guy), the argument boils down to "don't talk about other people in the community because if you say anything we get death threats". Apparently the MTG is so fragile that it literally cannot have a single YouTuber with a contrarian or even critical opinion: (

Not really involved in Card games, but it seems that every community of nerds is having its 'gate moment now (whether it's named as such or not): Comics, Art and now Card games.

It appears that the culture wars are now well truly in force, and not just limited to video games anymore.
