Chris obviously isn't making any art, so why don't we do it ourselves.
DA RULEZ:
Materials limited to the following because I'm curious about how you'll work with the limitations
- pen, black. Any pen. Ballpoint, fountain, rapidograph, permanent, washable, dip, india, iron gall, etc. Just black. Can be dilute.
-- holding it as Chris does is optional (not recommended)
-- personal rec: Sharpie Pen Black, F or M (2 for $4)
- Crayola Markers, 10 standard colors ($2)
-- rinsing and diluting them is fine, as long as you don't add new ink to them to change their color. Keep the TRUE, ORIGINAL color formula. They're really super saturated, so I like to draw the excess ink out into some distilled water and store it in jars for later use. Makes the colors not swallow the line art, and are overall easier to work with.
-- I know he used more than the standard 10, but I'm going for limitations here.
- 8.5 x 11" cartridge paper (FIVE BUCKS FOR FIVE HUNDRED SHEETS AT THE WAL MART)
-- personal rec: copy, 24# (copy is more resistant, and inkjet is more absorbent). Sleek, dense paper is best for waterbased ink. And alcohol based ink, but that is AGAINST DA RULEZ.
Just draw stuff kinda-sorta in the style of our inspiration, da big See Dubya Say. You can try to perfectly emulate his style, or just pay tribute to it. Or completely do your own thing with his materials.
Of course I'll be contributing soon, but I have nothing new or good atm. But I'll come up with something.
Good topics include 80's-90's nostalgia, fakemon, laughable fanart for really bad cartoons from that time period, legos, hoards, an f in english class, stuff Chris would draw if he could be assed to pick up a pen. Or stuff you wish he would draw. Or stuff that would be ironic. Or whatever.
