It could be that your skin is purging. It happens with some topical treatments. I recommend seeing out whatever new regimen you started for at least 14 days, preferably 30. At least, that's what my dermatologist has told me in the past.It happened again. I attempted to switch up my skincare routine to make it "better" (read: Use something other than just soap to clean my face) and I got adult acne. What the hell is my skin?
Guess this means I stick with the easy stuff... right?
Do I need to purge? If I just keep using soap is there a downside? It could be that your skin is purging. It happens with some topical treatments. You might have a gold allergy. Leave the surgical steel in for a while and let the puffiness go away. Then try again.I got my ears pierced in mid-september. I finally took the studs out couple of days ago. They were fine when i put on cheap earrings but when i put on gold hoops i noticed a ball feeling and they're a little sore. I took them out and cleaned my ears. I hope they heal properly.
It just means that your skin is getting rid of all of the buildup and residue the soap was leaving behind, and letting the acne it was causing come to the surface. And there really is--soap was created to be used for the body, not the face. It's way too drying, and leaves a residue that can affect sebum production.Do I need to purge? I tried a gentle cleanser. What should I use instead as a beginner? I can take this to the skincare thread, too.It just means that your skin is getting rid of all of the buildup and residue the soap was leaving behind, and letting the acne it was causing come to the surface. I'm very fond of the Aveeno ultra-calming foaming cleanser!I tried a gentle cleanser. What should I use instead as a beginner? I can take this to the skincare thread, too.
Gorgeous! I love the straps.double post, because this warrants it.
I said yes to the dress on saturday!
I also bought a terribly overpriced belt/sash thing to go with it.

Thanks y'all! I had already had my eye on that dress, and was obsessed with it, but had steered away from it because of the price. But I tried it on, and...I just couldn't say no. I didn't want to take it off!Nice af
I watch Abby sometimes and her social justice can be grating, especially the Biden stuff around election time. It's easy to overlook since she seems like a well-intentioned SJW trying to vote with her wallet, as opposed to the sort of SJW-masquerading grifters and degenerates who get threads here. Just, as with many SJWs, her priorities are lopsided - boycotting ColourPop's Sandstone release for cultural appropriation (after being educated, since she didn't even know the motifs came from indigenous peoples in the first place)...while regularly recommending Chinese-made makeup, despite their poor reputation with labor protection. (To be fair, though, despite their low prices, I have no idea how Midas and Juvia's Place treat their employees.) Even so, her anti-hauls are comfy.Does anyone watch the YTer Abby Williamson and what do you think of her? I think she's pretty SJW but I still watch her videos for some reason. I kind of like that she criticizes consumerism but she clearly is one herself. Also, I posted about this in the skincare thread but did anyone see Deceim virtue signaling about being anti-Black Friday and anti-consumerism? I enjoyed their sale this month don't get me wrong but it just seemed fake when a skincare company who packages stuff in non biodegradable plastic tubes is lecturing like this.

What's everyone excited to get on black friday?
I might buy some stuff from Glossier.
I am a sucker for candles. It totally counts.Do scented candles count as girly things? Because I've gotten so many holiday candles lately related to Christmas. I'm using the cinnamon stick scented one, and it smells pretty Christmassy.
