I vaguely remember amber saying she was the first one in her family to graduate high school, and some were doubting it. Now I'm thinking its probably true, and somehow someway she managed to be far more successful than anyone in her family, yet still a complete failure.

While it is clear that with parents like them, Amber and her siblings' formative years were less than stellar. No wonder that the state removes them from the parents. However, what I can't understand is that Amber knows how terrible her childhood was but still does not want to go to therapy to resolve her issues. It is also clear that she will never be able to lose and maintain a healthy weight and be able to have healthy relationships with family and friends, including Becky, without such therapy.

jeeeeesus, with these people as parents it's no wonder that the only support systems she has are mcdonald's and cheesecake factory. at the very least, even if this information isn't necessarily deserving of pity, it provides a lot of insight into how our gorl became our gorl. a binge eating disorder, a series of unhealthy and codependent relationships, and her shitty, apathetic attitude are all pretty natural consequences for having parents like she did.
There was a baby brother who was taken at birth and put into closed adoption, always wondered if she was high during pregnancy and thats why he was taken. Unsure if that lines up time wise with that child abuse charge.
How long before Amber herself continues the family tradition of lawlessness and abuse?
Normally, in this case, I'd feel bad for the lolcow having a shitty family and being the way they are. In Amber's case, I will make an exception. She has been increasingly manipulative in and out of social media over the years. Shitty people shitted out a shitty person.
The Reids needs to stop reproducing and remembered as the trailer trash they are for future reference.

There were two little boys taken from them and placed in closed adoption. Amber has mentioned in the past that she couldn’t locate them even she wanted to. I just don’t know where they fit in the timeline. Quite possible they were born addicted to meth. Purely speculative, of course.
The two brothers were born between 1993 and 1998.

I wonder if the brothers who were adopted have any knowledge of their biological family...I know the parents aren't allowed to contact them now but the adoptees can access their family history once they are an adult right? Imagine looking up the family you were taken from and you find amber...lmfao
It's better that way, if they had become somewhat successful Mama Meth would descend upon them and guilt them into enabling her terrible behavior like she did with Amber.
The main difference being that they likely aren't manipulative sociopaths so she could do some pretty hefty damage unlike with our self-obsessed dainty gorl.

A little off topic, but does anyone think there's signs in Amber that her mom was using during pregnancy? Like I know it fucks up some kids waaay more than others but it's an interesting thought. Maybe her slow mentulz or something I'm not a doctor.
