For some reason it reminds me of the Max Headroom broadcast hijacking.Hopefully the guy who did this never uploads some shit to youtube or a blog about it, and is never caught/unmasked either.
Let this become just an absurd mystery to brighten up this shitpile internet even if only a little
You can buy an upscaler to fix that. (for the most part). It's easy to forget that skilled devs often took the quirks of CRT into account when they programmed our favorite games. Those games will never look 100% without CRT output.CRTs rule, I'm so glad I hung onto my old flatscreen one for PS1, N64, PS2, Gamecube and original Xbox games.
It's how those games are meant to be played, seeing them in HD often ironically makes the graphics look worse and were not how the games were designed to be seen.
At the very least it's how I remember the games looking back in day and it's nostalgic to me, there's just something about the look of a game on a CRT (provided the settings have been properly adjusted) that is appealing to me.
Ikegami makes broadcast equipment. that CRT is equivalent to high end professional audio monitoring headphones from Beyer Dynamic or Stax: built for quality, reliability, reproducibility, and connectivity. pricing is unimportant when you are actively using the equipment to make a living that depends on the quality of your sound (or picture).why 11 grand?
