Security was outside where the rest of them were, in much larger numbers. Police were there and also at the hotels where Liverpool and Manchester players were at where separate groups of protestors were, though they were moved back to a safer distance at one point apparently.

Game was meant to start at 16:30, got delayed then about 18:00ish they called it off outright. Some of the commentary about it has been pretty funny.

By accounts so far it genuinely was "mostly peaceful." Some of them hurling bottles at the police and the pitch invaders seem to be as bad it got. How bad Manchester might get tonight is another matter.

The Glazers are lucky they didn't trash the place and really show their displeasure. Though to be fair United are in 2nd and odds on favorite to win Europa lmfao not the best year to get pissy about their (admittedly) lackluster ownership. If any club's fanbase should be showing up and doing this and more it should be Arsenal's.

Bundesliga is even more fucked than the Premier League. Bayern Munich owns the whole league and even at one point bought out Dortmund to save it from bankruptcy iirc. It is a one horse league compared to the Premier League being 4 or 5 horses usually competing.

While it's true that Bayern dominates the league and basically cherry-picks the best players from other Bundesliga teams, the overall league is in good financial health. Not allowing foreign majority-ownership of any Bundesliga team seems like the smart thing to do and it allows ticket prices - even for the big clubs - to remain in reach of the average fan.

They worked really hard for that domination. its also not such a big issue, they mostly run on their own and the rest is fighting for 2nd place.
