DSP died on the boss fight because he has no strategy but to get straight in and tank it

I watched a bit of his first day of playing. He fought some knight boss as V and the bird did everything? Is there anything active about using the bird or does it just spray bullets out passively for you as a little bit of damage because if so that's just sad that you can beat a boss like that, even on normal.

V can only do finishers on enemies. If he has to use V then he will do little to no damage. The character is a caster.

The bird is essentially just Vs bullets and the panther is his melee attacks

Griffon has a launcher (for smaller enemies), stun-lock lightning blasts, bolt columns, charged blasts and DT enhanced attacks. It's just a pew-pew spitter in the hands of Phil because he's about as stylish and lazy in DMC as he is in real life. Same goes with Panther and the Big Guy.. V isn't great compared to Nero and Dante in this game but you can never trust DSP to sell any game with any kind of mechanical depth well at all.

When he brought up that it's Devil May Cry and they didn't bring anything new to the table, well tough luck dude. The 5th game in the series only added on to what the 4th game was lacking and it's god damn perfect. What did he expect going in? That it was going to be some shit like GoW with exploration and shitty pseudo rpg elements?

Im an experienced DMC player and even i had to go back and practice those fights.

Live review comes up: SNORT I mashed only one button but got no variety, awful game, stuck in 1955. Amazing graphics. I HATE IT. 9/10.

Did he charge up Sin DT, and not use it? Why? The Urizen fights are deliberately built for that mechanic just like V’s bosses are made to make you learn to space yourself to regain DT and use Nightmare. Speaking of, how badly has he fucked up the V missions? His fetid mind probably cannot comprehend a character that’s basically a giant vulnerable, disjointed hitbox.

Can you even fuck them up? In my expirience, enemies prefer to target familiars, because they are closer. Also, it's easy to stunlock them, because most of the Shadow's attacks are areal and Griffin can throw lightning bolts.

If you stay too far away, Shadow just kinda derps around and swings at air and a lot of Griffin’s special attacks whiff if you aren’t in the thick of it, you recover almost no DT if you stay too far away, and V is completely vulnerable during finishers. They’re also more likely to target him on higher difficulties, but we all know our stupid friend isn’t touching those.
