In their minds it is an ethnic cleansing, or rather the aftermath thereof. If not the physical destruction of populations (like the Native Americans), the destruction of their pride and culture, and assimilation to a Western mode of being. It's like these people believe in ghosts and racial memory or some shit.I absolutely despise the way words like ''healing'' and ''trauma'' are increasingly normalised as stand-in buzzwords for whatever the fuck the Woke Left feel like. You'd think with that type of rhetoric that they were referencing an ethnic cleansing, or something so unspeakable the nouns alone would be offensive, not their middle school teacher demanding they be quiet, or a male relative expressing disappointment at them shaving all their hair off.
I've no great passion for either, or the word ''hurting'' for that matter. Still, you know whoever phrases things that way is hanging around with (or are themselves) patently deranged individuals. It's never in relation to something genuinely visceral or traumatic. It's always in reference to one person, one time giving side-eye to the twerker or violent protestor in question. They take offense at even the slightest disapproval of their actions, but nobody's got any social capital to oppose them-- hence the need to exaggerate anything less than swooning praise into nightmarish PTSD.
