Who put a gun to their head and told them to work on the most contentious construction project in modern US history? The fourth phase was axed back in 2015. Trump got the go-ahead in 2017 not with something secure, like a congressional bill (which they had tried before, failing only because of a veto that Trump being in office and the repubs holding the 2 chambers would render moot) - but with an executive order whose justification was disputed in the courts back in 2019.

But again, I assume you spoke up when the steelworkers and manufacturers at large had their jobs reduced and tossed aside because Trump wanted to show he was "serious" about China through a bunch of tariffs that achieved fuckall except losing American jobs and making shit cost more.

When you decide to work in a field that is this hotly contested, whose entire survival depends on Trump staying in office, that has been threatened to be shut down for the better part of a decade, then ... yeah... maybe it would have been a smart thing to do to look for different opportunities of employment.

True. And to a certain extent, i'll concede that Apologists is onto something and is correct about it being a skilled competitive market, but thats not the point here. The way Biden and Trumpet handled this was so incorrect and improper, legit just cutting off a main oil line like a bad Habbit? I think a warning was in short order atleast. People woke up without jobs when that wasn't the case the night before. And it was all done in interest of politics. It seems everything done is in interest of politics. No longer for the working people. Just what swings votes and lines pockets with cash.
