Rate me late on this, but I gotta ask, before this thread dies down and the capital hill riot is fresh on our minds like a corpse propped up by the mainstream media with Gamergate and Charlottesville....

Did Siegsiev take anyone to the morgue with him in D.C.?

This weird stunt might be related to Alexei Navalny's recent return and subsequent incarceration in Russia after surviving being fucking poisoned by Novichok. If you want to see what actual resistance to tyranny looks like, it's this guy's brass balls. Yes, foreign leaders use him as a west-philic vessel by which they hope to get in another Yeltsin, and yes Russia has tried to use him as controlled oppo before, but this guy's genuinely throwing his weight around with very real risk of his life - which inspires a lot of the Russian opposition, who tend to be more young and urban.

That or this shaman guy is just fucking nuts and wants attention, probably just as likely.

Here's the order. Here's the broader memorandum.

You'll notice that the Insulin EO has yet to come into effect, because it's not the 22nd.

Hey, at least he didn't work in manufacturing, especially with steel.
If you take a job that you know half of the political establishment wants to axe, which can easily be axed by something as simple as an executive order (rather than something difficult, like getting Congress to revoke a bill issuing permission), I'd say you were the gambling sort.
Political establishment has no business blanket shutting down entire industries with a stroke of a pen, and that is exactly what is going on. You blame the folks taking on a industry you deemed a political target? Well ALL industries are a political target right now and that is fucked to all hell.

If you were lamenting the trade war's tendency to cause magnitudes more job loss over a longer period of time with no warning to anyone in those industries as to what the Trump admin would try to shove into its tariffs, then you're being consistent and you should realize that this is more of the same stupid, overbearing swamp behavior.
If the tariffs get a pass but this pipeline doesn't, you're playing double standards given that the tariffs did precisely jack-dick (as most economists warned they would) to deter China's rise.

It also doesn't skirt around the fact that there's literally no reason not to have done this permit through the Congress in 2017 except for extreme carelessness on behalf of the president.
I reject the idea that if a president subverts the congress to OK something which might make jobs, other presidents can't revoke it. Otherwise you'd have to cheer on Joe Biden issuing permits for a bunch of pointless Green New Deal jobs programs via EO and decry any other president revoking them. Do this shit in the Congress.

Ill play double standards, tariffs work to even the playing field assuming you have any players on your side left. It was too little many years too late.

lol yeah, evening the playing field alright. Necessitating the laying off tens of thousands of americans and massive subsidies to agriculture above and beyond what we normally give them sure did even the playing field.

Meanwhile punished China over there just opened trade deals with other countries, shifted some production around, and made good use of its lack of concern for human rights or labor costs to offset the paltry damages our little cuff did. The Trump tariffs did fuckall, even ignoring coronavirus. If they had actually achieved anything, sure, you can argue it's a long-term bennie for some short-term bloodletting.

They were nothing more than Trump's economically illiterate instincts, and they played out just like every economist (including his own damn Fed) said they would. Much like the pipeline thing, he didn't gun for Congressional approval or backing and just wrote from his little office with his little pen. Look forward to Biden using the same, given that no-one felt like plugging that stupid "national interest" loophole.

Since President Biden won the election in a landslide, there were so many batshit insane Trumptards on this site that it was unbelievable. These tards believed every word Trump spewed, and argued and attacked anyone who used common sense and logic.

We are now beyond your insane delusions and I just wanted to say, learn from this and shut the fuck up and think for yourselves. Idiots.

Yeah big surprise, avid MIGApedes are no better than "I'm with her" types and both get high on copium. Wow, colour me shocked. At least in both cases, the media did a great job discrediting all the cope, such as Russian influence.

I don't think people are parsing this shit properly because of the theatrics of SHAKA ZULU THE 100% AFRICAN WARRIOR. The FBI just did a mafia style visit to some random guy because he called other members of his group "comrads." They just pulled the alphabet agency version of "wouldn't it be a shame if something happened.."

You're right. The Revolutionary War didn't go so far as the Americans invading the House of Parliament in London itself.

More importantly, this shit is still going to escalate. It's going to escalate all the way to January 20, 2021, and even further beyond that. The pressure cooker has just exploded, and what we're now seeing is the shrapnel flying out in all directions.
So. How's that escalation coming along?

Also, pay attention to the shelf in the background with that gay heart-shaped plant...
On the right side, there's some anime-figurine holding down her skirt or something.

What the fuck is up with that guy. Wonder how this is going to pan out in the long run.
Wouldn't surprise me if we'd see a massive wave of posts on social media that all boil down to:
"I ratted out a family member to the feds and they threw me out of their house, I have no job, no home and no one to help me. What do I do?"

Wasn't there already a post by some girl who bitched about her mother not being able to pay her tuition, after she reporter her mother to the feds herself, who then lost her job?

So i know i use this as a shit thread.

But to break a bit away from my norm. One of the problems the US has is the fact that lot of industries are being propped op in some cases. Oil and gas is dying out and Green or rather renewable energy is the way forward, but to save already dying market is a waste of time. Money should be put into re-education for the effected and learn them to code, but i don't mean they are going to be web developers. PLC programing, automation and so on. It would all help the US get a stronger work force.

How ever the problem is that it is not sexy. It will take 3-5 years for the first few fruits to sprout from work like this. So there is low effort in both sides of the isle to do it.

It is easy to throw money at dying industries to say you saved jobs.
