Perhaps a case more relevant to the current administration would be that of Alta Devices, a cutting edge US solar developer that was acquired by Chinese energy giant Hanergy under the Obama administration and received hundreds of millions in US financing. Hanergy subsequently took the IP and fucked off back to China, stopped paying their bills and employees in the US, and left the financers holding the bag. "Green" is the new hotness, and people will throw money at it with little consideration. I'm sure we can look forward to similar future cases under Beijing Biden.OH my good this +9 year old article tells me that America is corrupt. I already knew that, that is nothing new. Most business i have worked for that operate in the American market throw money at politicians in the US to get better deals and a bunch of benefits. So yes America is corrupt. Wierd Flex, but okay.
Im not an "either/or" guy, but many of these technologies are immature and Americans' environmental guilt is being exploited for profit with dishonest promises of technology that is not yet viable, and is usually not as "green" as advertised. Some have already mentioned the California high speed rail project; go ask Feinstein's husband, who's getting billion dollar contracts for the project, when someone might actually be able to ride it.Why is it Americans have this weird binary in there head either every thing is green or every thing is oil?
I am talking about future proofing the country and investing for the future.
