How much did you actually hear about Mark Hamill trying to abuse, gaslight, and harass a woman into aborting his grandchild? Didn't hear about it at all, no? Probably has something to do with the fact that it came out right about the time he was set to be in the sequel trilogy, they didn't want that. Similarly how much have you heard about Ewan McGregor getting MeToo'd? Slightly more than nothing, or nothing? Again, Disney's got an investment going on with him so they swept shit under the rug.

The comics industry has always been sleazy. Most female creators and black creators who haven't become good little obedient pets will tell you that the veneer of social consciousness and love for equality that is frequently blared from the pages is only skin deep, if that. I would say there's a small handful of creators, the ones that started the whole shebang, that probably were sincere, everything since then has just been insincere pandering. Behind the scenes it's been an orgy of sex pests and racists since the sixties.

There's not going to be much in the way of particularly "reputable" sources since, as said, most of the media just declined to cover it, but here's a rather snottily-framed New York Post article and an article from a pro-life site. There's a handful of other results out there but the mainstream news sites gave it a wide berth... probably because either Disney told them to, or because Hamill's a very loud, visible, and popular lefty.

Edit: Plus most of them don't want to run a story like this since it casts the "pro-choice" crowd in a pretty bad light. One of the conceits legalized abortion is built on is that it's 100% the woman's choice every single time, an exercising of her rights... pressure to have an abortion, not to mention abuse, not to mention abuse by famous left-wing people, just isn't supposed to happen. Can't happen. Any news org that took the risk of running it would run the risk of getting #canceled for posting "Anti-abortion conservative propaganda".

DC Universe, it’s time to make a decision on who to hire. You can either choose an up and coming web comic writer who may be able to bring fresh ideas to the table. Or you can choose an overly zealous dip shit who let his inability to handle criticism drag him kicking and screaming into a lawsuit.

Given the quality of web comics today you'd be better off hiring people like Waid. Only good web comics being released are Manhua's and they're basically all the same story.

This is truth, and my mind immediately thought of this.

They act as if this is the sum of all evil, and put these words into the mouth of Red Skull himself, arguably the most evil of all the villains traditionally (because come on, he thought the Nazi's didn't go far enough). The thing is, what Red Skull is saying here is completely reasonable, and if someone like say, Obama were saying these exact same words (maybe with less angry emphasis) at least 80% of the public would nod their heads and agree. Unedited at least half the country would agree, and of that half a large percentage, if not the majority probably say HAIL HYDRA after they finish this panel.

Does this make them literally nazis? No. At least, not the way Nazi's are traditionally defined. But that tent is very, very large for these people to the point they can't differentiate between real Nazi's like Richard Spencer, and totally not Nazi's like Sargon of Akkad or Jordan Peterson. The danger in this is that all those people who say HAIL HYDRA after reading this panel. They might actually decide these Nazi folks sound pretty reasonable.

Perhaps that's exactly the intention. Nobody can address these issues because anyone who does must be a "Nazi". It justifies the ruthless suppression of anyone who tries, because all those things that the Red Skull is railing against to stir people up are seen as necessary by the far left, because to them we're all a bunch of mayonnaise eating orcs who raped the world and then whitewashed our own history, and our vile nature is inherent in every system we create.

If I was more charitable I'd just say that the author genuinely thinks all those points are rooted in lies, like the white equivalent to how most of us view BLM's horseshit, but we all know how these people actually are after Sam Hyde exposed it.

Obvious weasel words may help protect them from legal action, but they're not going to save them from that court of public opinion they love so much.

Luckily for them white supremacism of your specific definition is only believed in by a tiny fringe of methheads and /pol/ tards, so SJWs are free to invent a new definition for it, the kind that John Wayne used. White Supremacy is simply the state of affairs that has existed since ~1700, where whites held disproportionate power in the world. Realistically that was the 90s. 52 was the result of five guys, Threeboot was meh, and managed to tank the Flash vol. 3/4 so hard they brought back Barry Allen.

He was good in the 90s because he had good collaborators and was a fanboy riffing on the classics.

Given its 2020, he'll get the Superman books. he'll do a better job than Bendis. It'll have some Trump derangement syndrome peppered throughout. But at this point, the bar is set so God damned low it'll be a major improvement and he'll be hailed as a major success, despite producing thoroughly mediocre to bad shit.
