So her complaing and claiming she cannot get help and that she is unable to keep living to her therapist is probaby a lie.
In Florida there is something called the Baker Act. A 72-hr psych hold and evaluation with a doctor to moniter and get you on a routine with meds, life and so on. You don't get to decide to leave. You need the doctors permission to essentially sign off of you being stable.
California has something similar.

Chapter 1: Involuntary Treatment Holds​

California law allows police officers and certain mental health professionals to take you into custody if they believe that, because of your mental illness, you are likely to cause or suffer specific kinds of harm. This is often referred to as a “5150 hold,” named after the regulation that authorizes it. Welf. & Inst. Code (WIC) § 5150.

Under this law, if you meet certain criteria, you can be held for up to 72-hours. This is not a criminal arrest. During that period, mental health professionals will examine you to determine whether you can be safely released, whether voluntary services would be appropriate, or whether you need additional treatment.

Criteria for a Hold​

A police officer or mental health professional cannot hold you just for having a mental illness. You can only be detained if an officer believes that your mental illness will likely cause some kind of harm. WIC § 5150.05. The officer or person treating you may take your mental health history into account, but you cannot be held based solely on your history. To be subject to a psychiatric hold, you must meet at least one of the following criteria, as a result of a mental health disorder.
Danger to Self
Most often, someone who is considered a danger to themselves has threatened or attempted self-harm or suicide.

Danger to Others

Threats or actual attempts to harm others are the most common way to meet this criterion.

Grave Disability

Being “gravely disabled” means that someone is no longer able to provide for their own food, clothing, or shelter because of a mental health disorder. WIC § 5008(h). A person may be considered gravely disabled if, for instance, they are no longer eating enough to survive, or they have become unable to maintain housing.

Now that took me 10 seconds to find.
So here is a theory I have. The way Mary handles shit is pitiful. But I remember reading about schizoaffective disorder while watching a patient. Shit soumds like Mary too , my theory is that they have changed her meds without delving into a conversation with a mentally ill woman with some kind of mood disorder and schizophrenia. Its not something that would be discussed because that tends to feed into the delusions that come with schizophrenia.


TLDR: If Mary was a true harm to herself then one of her doctors should step in and put her into a minimum 72-hr psych hold; because like most mental health providers, if they see you having a break down to the point of harm they will get you there no matter what to keep you safe.
Its clear that by watching her videos, the psychiatrist is probably taking notes and still coming up with nothing for our schreeching murder queen.
