I didn't know this when I first posted it, but this is fan art of Ms. Marvel, a Muslim character who uses her super powers to raid people's homes to abduct them by force, illegally keep them prisoner in a warehouse for thought crimes without due process, and guard them with a bunch of teenagers dressed like Nazi Youth, making Dr. Doom blush in embarrassment as he crosses his legs to hide his chub.
This literal fascist criminal is facepalming in the dark at the sight of Donald Trump giving an "Islamophobic" speech on TV.
Out of context, this frames Ms. Marvel as a public servant who just had all her civil work undone by a despot.
In context, a despot is watching their sovereign Stalinist pocket-government collapse from the corner of a dark room when a democratically elected authority openly denounces a group notorious for authoritarian terrorism, an image she legitimized through her own actions of illegally holding United States citizens hostage for exercising their free speech on the internet.
And Maryne Lahaye expects you to sympathize with this character.
This also means that Maryne Lahaye also reads shitty SJW Marvel comics, which means one of two things, 1) she financially supports a failing, garbage series of comics with her own money or more likely 2) she pirates them online, feeling entitled to take what she wants from a vendor using her revolving five-finger-discount coupon, making her a thief. No matter which option she picks, she's either a rube for supporting the downward spiral of a once-good company or a scumbag for stealing from an author whose work she likes enough to take, but not enough to buy.
But no matter which option you choose, both means she advocates the notion of arresting people for wrongthink so long as they're male, white, straight, and cis.
I am forgetting option three, that she knows who Ms. Marvel is on the superficial level, but is oblivious to her actual exploits in the comic, and just made fanart of the character anyway because the character's face value is convenient to her narrative, but this is admittedly a benefit-of-the-doubt I'm reluctant to give, and I'm honestly only mentioning it to cover my bases.
You're expecting too much out of her. She probably only likes her bc of "Muh badass muslim slay queen Yass" and little else.

Even if she’s right that it’s all some family in joke, that’s the kind of shit that stops being funny after the first 3 times you do it, so either this is a joke that’s mostly perpetuated by her that her family/sister-in-law tolerate because Maryne can’t read a room, or her whole family is retarded.
Also considering she laments about how she’s single and constantly thirsts after women on the internet, I can’t say I’m surprised if it’s the latter. There’s being casual/relaxed about romantic affairs, and the there’s being straight up frivolous.
