Here are two articles [A1], [A2] from the Susquehanna School District (located in NY state), published in 2017.

Grade 8 include ages 13-14. 2017 was five years ago, which would make the Gendron mentioned in the articles 18 years old today. In addition, he mentions that he lived in the Southern Tier region of NY all his life, which includes the Susquehanna School District:
