I own like two out of three of those so I know what they are.

The rifle used in the shooting is a Bushmaster XM-15 M16 retro model chambered in 5.56/.223, with a featureless NY legal barrel and an illegally slapped on pistol grip.
Shotgun appears to be a Mossberg 500 12 gauge pump action shotgun, and one of those retro models with wood furniture.
The bolt action rifle is a Savage Axis in a short action caliber., considering New York gun shops either in .308 or 6.5 creedmoor

Cold take: Why would someone do this if they've been on /pol/ for any amount of time? How does this serve their "agenda" or their "manifesto."
For example Breivik. How did his mass shooting help anything in Norway?
How did Mateen help anything by shooting up pulse nightclub?

These things are ALWAYS optics fails of the highest degree.
These things do nothing to forward any kind of political agenda.
In fact the only time i see this kind of thinking is when the "Lone Wolf" concept is added with the "Accelerate" concept of trying to instigate violent responses and more divisiveness.
There would have to be people out there who fundamentally believe that
1. The entire system needs to collapse violently
2. They are so isolated that they cannot create any kind of meaningful political action.
3. Violence would inspire more violence, since they are inspired by previous violence to commit violence
4. They would have to be uneducated enough to believe that you can create movements by doing things that normies find emotionally disgusting.
This was not the playbook of any kind of nationalism in the previous century that was able to gain any kind of foothold.
This is the kind of act that has motivated people to do the opposite since 9/11. Literally every single event like this creates an opposition to everything the "shooter", "bomber", or "extremist" believed in, and always at a time when it was most convenient.
