I agree with Jackie doing something stupid first over Derich. Jackie legit can't live on his own without a guardian of some kind. Everywhere he goes, it's with his mother or his family. When he goes trick-or-treating, he's with his cousins. Las Vegas? His mom (who is with him almost every where he goes on vacation or in general such as the zoo). So optimistically, if something stupid were to happen like his hand lowering towards a girl's ass or boob, that it wouldn't be as severe as it could've been.
