I mean he could've just compared his height to a character that already has a confirmed height like Samus or Snake, but no he just assumes the height of a random block and bases it off that. Like for someone who spergs out about equations and shit, he really seems to struggle with actual basic shit.

Matthew Patrick, AKA MatPat is the host of the popular Youtube Series, Game Theory, where he makes all sorts of crackpot "Theories" on video games in general. Most of them aren't any good. See Below:

His theories are so bizarre and controversial that many people have flat out debunked them in Youtube Videos below such as these:

TV Tropes even has a list of his slip ups. Despite this, he has a group of fans who seem to take his word as gospel and assert that his theories are true. His "Sans as Ness" Theory was so crazy and out there that Toby Fox (Undertale's creator) had to step in and shoot it down. It's one of his more controversial and polarizing videos to date.

At least until July 5th of this year.

On that date, MatPat uploaded a video where he did something so crazy the whole internet (The ones not blindly following him anyway) did a collective "WHAT THE FUCK?" that people thought it was fake until they saw the actual video.

He gave a Steam copy of Undertale to Pope Francis. No, I'm serious.

To clarify, he was one of several Youtubers that Pope Francis picked to an event on how the Internet can bring people together, and as is customary, had to give him a gift to present to him. Below is the video. Just a warning those who haven't seen it - It's 16 minutes of pure pretentious cringe from start to finish.

MatPat is definitely arrogant and his newer theories are stupid af, but I don't think he's a bad guy or lolcow material. The Pheonix Wright one made my heart sink because I don't want to hate MatPat but he REALLY dropped the ball on that one.
I can't bring myself to watch his pope video, it makes me want to kill myself. It's similar to when Obama gave the Queen of England an iPod.

I watch a lot of GTLive because I let my little brother watch youtube and ever since he was suspended for calling another kid a faggot, he's not allowed to watch stuff with swearing. I personally think he should slow down on theories and focus on his livestream because him and his wife are really cute together and the streams are fun if you want to watch video games with little family.

It's true, and since it seems that he doesn't try to respond to any kind of flack it's questionable if he's any kind of cow at all (very likely not). His lack of response to the hate is probably why he's so successful in life so props to him on that at least. Now if only a certain indignant blue bear could follow Matpat's example...

His streams can be a little cringey sure. I think some folks are blowing stuff out of proportion about Scott and FNAF here as Matt went on to do another video after Scott said he was close but not totally right, in which he admits he can be wrong.

Lolcows by our definition tend to be less self aware than that.

Flipside, he's apparently been pretty good as the host of The Runner over on go90.com and is now encouraging his fanbase to go watch it. Executive producers on that are Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Which.... well, he really is no more eccentric than any other rising personality.

You have to be a little strange to ham it up in public like that.

Lolcows are bizarre people/groups/events, that are on the Internet, and respond negatively to people in a funny way. They are not countries, political figures, celebrities, your highschool bully, or some random YouTuber that isn't a drama queen.

Give me some examples of chimping, or lulzy behaviour. Disliking a relatively popular youtubers videos isn't enough for a lolcow thread.

My SO watches the streams on occasion. This is the main interaction he has with the fanbase. His girlfriend sits there going through the GTLive twitter and the chat during the streams while he's playing the game, and they'll go through the comments on the video later on and reply sometimes, or bring up the comments in another related stream. - According to a video he did around the time of his first few streams, one of the driving reasons for him even doing the steams in the first place was because it was a way he could better interact with his audience.

There really isn't anything there to milk, and what trolling does happen during them looks like it generally gets laughed off or spun into a joke for the audience, if it's even acknowledged at all. He's aware of his hatedom, knows there's really nothing he can do about it, and just does what he seems to always do. Move on and focus on the fans that do like him.

It is fun to watch him scream like a girl when he plays horror games though.

Meh, his content is sometimes entertaining and his arrogance seems partly like an act, at least during the videos. I can get not liking him, but he doesn't chimp or film massive "troll response" videos or anything. He's no Dobson, Marijan, Shaner, or Tommy Tooter, just another famous youtuber.
