Snowflake Maureen Lewis/Statter - Kailyn's biggest fan

Maureen Lewis Statter, aka Momo, is a Person of Interest who first became noticed because she was once involved with Matt, lolcow Kailyn Wilcher's ex-husband. There's some debate over how seriously they dated; Maureen claims they were in a committed relationship, while others contend they only went on a few casual dates. In either case, Matt ended up breaking things off with Maureen to be with Kailyn, and this kicked off an obsession that persists to this day. Maureen lives in a weird sort of flux between wanting to copy Kailyn and trying to prove her superiority. She'll brag about having a job and being able to drive "unlike some people," but also has tried to copy Kailyn in every way possible. Maureen also has a habit of way oversharing and is known to make long-winded posts about her personal life on YTT and other snark sites. In threads devoted to snarking on her. (You can imagine how well this goes over.)

Maureen is the middle child of Elmore Lewis and Janice Lee Dobson, she has an older brother named Nate and a younger sister named Teresa. Janice abused drugs while pregnant with Nate and Maureen, leading to their problems; she was clean for her pregnancy with Teresa, causing her to be born "normal" and thus becoming Janice's favorite. When the kids were all still very young Janice took Teresa and ran away to New York to live with a woman named Crystal, who is believed to be her lesbian lover. (Interesting to note, if Janice and Crystal are indeed in a relationship Maureen has never acknowledged it, she has only ever referred to Crystal as "mom's friend/roommate.") Nate and Maureen were left with their father, who tragically began molesting Maureen when she was only 3. The abuse continued until she was 19, at which point the abuse was uncovered and Elmore was sent to jail. Maureen's family disowned her for revealing her father's actions and accused her of betraying him, her grandma in particular guilt tripped Maureen into sending him money. (Honestly it's not hard to see how Maureen turned out the way she did.)

One of the biggest criticisms of Maureen is her treatment of her brother, Nate. He is special needs and lives under her care. Maureen was content to let Nate sleep on the floor for months and only got him a bed after trolls hounded her about it. She also once infamously ignored Nate having a seizure to go get Starbucks.

In April of 2015 Maureen married a man named James Statter, aka Homer. PLs were quick to point out that James and Maureen's wedding took place around the same time as Matt and Kailyn's anniversary. They have since had two children, Claudia and Tyler.

There has been a lot of misinformation about Maureen thanks to YTT, particularly a former user known as Fassy. Fassy claimed she was friends with Maureen's social worker and had secret insider info, but most of it turned out to be made up. To briefly debunk the biggest lies that came out of this: Claudia does not have "half a head"; CPS did not swoop in and grab Claudia at birth; James and Maureen have always had custody of the kids; James is not a sped that Maureen "tricked" into marrying her.

Maureen seems to spend most of her time posting bizarre and wordy rants on Facebook, posting YouTube videos (usually of herself playing guitar, mundane shit she finds interesting, and Family Guy/movie clips), reading forums devoted to fundie families (she's fascinated with the Duggars), and trolling You Talk Trash with her dozens of sockpuppet accounts.

Before opening this thread, Maureen instantly clicked with "Kailyn" for me, so I guess I've heard about this chick. Did Kai used to bitch about her or something?

Maureen also claims to have had cancer and recently underwent chemotherapy to treat it. Apparently, her doctor doesn't care that she's pregnant shortly after the fact.

She also thought at one point that the thrift store she used to work at is what gave her cancer. She's now working there again.

People aren't convinced she had cancer at all.

Edit: @Bronchitis that Lingers Kai has hardly addressed her at all. I think she mentioned Matt's stories of Maureen once in a TV stream a few years ago but ever since I've never seen her mention Maureen again.

So, was the cancer thing ever proven to be real or fake? Interesting that she's knocked up so soon after her 'chemo'. I was always of the opinion that she had some kind of medical issue (maybe a benign cyst or something) but was at best grossly exaggerating what was going on in spite of her dodgy 'proof' pics.

It might look bad to people on the outside that we're questioning her being a cancer sufferer, but she is a proven pathological liar who is so desperate for attention and validation that she posts intimate details of her life on threads devoted to railing on her and acts as if her detractors are friends (ie she famously used to update her GG thread with twitter-style updates about coffee)

Yeah, I always felt like it was fake. My mother had breast cancer and nothing Momo said lined up with what my mother went through with chemo and radiotherapy. I remember that PICC line picture and thinking it looked really weird. I had a PICC line for a while and it was not done the way hers was at all, plus she refused to remove the poorly-applied bandage from around it. Mine was never bandaged with gauze, it only had a transparent sticky bandage over it (that was changed every few days) so the nurses could keep an eye on placement and make sure there was no infection.

Sadly, some people are just like that I guess. This is my own opinion, but my experience with compulsive liars is the need to feel important and cared about.

She sort of reminds me of a girl I was friends with back in high school--I'll refer to my friend as "Ann." Ann came not only from an impoverished background, but we're talking dirt poor. On top of that she had awful hygeine; thankfully the part about the hygeine has vastly improved, and she used her poor background to build a strong work ethic. She's made a lot of bad financial decisions, but she works and doesn't try to rely on other people or the government for help. (That's the huge difference between her and Maureen.)

Anyway, I'm completely off topic. I remember once back in tenth grade she said she couldn't have a period and had one of her feminine organs removed, which prevented her from having children. So when I asked her if she was basically going through menopause, she says, "Sort of..." Almost 20 years later she has popped out four children.

On top of that whenever someone passed away, she always made it about her somehow. Even if she barely knew the person, somehow she blamed herself for the person's death. True statement.

That specifically causes mesothelioma, but the latency period is usually 30 years or more.

The long and short of that claim is whether or not she had cancer, she's completely full of shit about how she got it, unless she's painting radium dials on watches or some shit.

For those that don't want to give the site traffic, here's the text:

Ok seriously though, there has been SO MUCH going on I don’t even know how to feel. I literally don’t, and I’m NOT even kidding. So I was going to the store yesterday after James went to work, and don’t you know my brother had a seizure IN THE CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING! In the car! I nearly had an accident, and I probably would have if I had not been able to pull over or had been stuck in traffic or something. Not only that, but he had JUST taken his medicine before we left for the store. I considered going to the hospital again, but I had just gone on Tuesday and they basically said they didn’t know what was causing him to suddenly have so many seizures, so I figured they would simply tell me the same thing if I went back. Likewise I really needed to get to the store because we were running low on food. So I waited until my brother regained his composure, and then I just still went to the grocery store. Thank goodness he was fine the entire time we were at the grocery store.

When we left the grocery store I wanted to go to starbucks because I had a gift card which I could never find before, but I was sure that I finally had it in my purse at that time. But of COURSE as always as SOON as I went to look for it I was unable to find it. I literally stood there for about 30 minutes and ultimately emptied my purse, and I still did not find it. By then I was so pissed that I just ordered something anyway even without the gift card. Then when we got back to the apartment my brother had about 4 or 5 more seizures throughout the night. James and I tried to stay awake in case he had seizures, but finally at 4 a.m. we just called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. The hospital wrote him a prescription for an extra dosage of his medicine because they “claimed” that he simply needed an increased dosage of his medicine, and they also gave him some of his medicine through an IV while he was there. But behold, when we left the hospital he had a seizure in James’ car while we were driving to get his prescription filled. We also went to get breakfast at a restaurant, and he had a seizure THERE, too!

Then at 10 a.m. we were back at the apartment, and the lady came to take my brother to his day program which is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I told the lady what was going on, and she said she would call his doctor and check into it. Keep in mind that I had already tried calling his doctors office several times, but only got a voicemail. So anyway my brother went to the day program, and next thing you know they contacted me and said he had a seizure at the day program!! We went to the day program, and they said they called an ambulance and he was back at the hospital. Long story short, I had to drive myself to the hospital since James had to go to work, and I was there until 4 p.m. EST today before they said they are going to keep him overnight and I was finally able to leave. He also had 3 seizures while I was at the hospital. I really don’t know what is going on, but I would hate to think that he is only suddenly having so many seizures just because James moved in. Yet at the same time this only seems to have started since James started living at the apartment. In any case, James seemed convinced that him moving in was the cause of all of this, and he seemed upset and was saying that perhaps we should get a divorce for that reason. I really do hope that it doesn’t come to that, because I seriously doubt that our marriage/living together is to blame for my brother’s seizures. Likewise, if anyone here thinks otherwise, then I am convinced it is simply because you are against me or don’t like me for whatever reason, as that is clearly the case with many of you all. That being said, does anyone know what else could be causing my brother to suddenly have so many seizures? I would just really like to know, because I certainly can’t figure it out.
