I think Nicole is who he wants to be combined with multiple girls he had crushes on. Tbh, you can see a lot of his personality in the whole cast. It's kind of like Ed, Edd 'n Eddy how every single cast member is somewhat based on the creator's life experiences and the way others see him.

Thinking about it, it's pretty obvious why Max obsesses over the 2000s. It was probably the last time he was genuinely happy. I think he is about 26 now, which would have had him staring high school in 09/2010. His VN told us how those years went. (Gloryfying specific periods of one's life is quite common among lolcows I just realized)

Can anyone track down his highschool and this classmates that went there with him at the time? It be interesting if he were bullied relentlessly first year, and “adapted” to try and fit in. (That’s why those Jeffrey notes reek of projection; I gaurentee some of them are somewhat autobiographical. It makes me think if he’s actually a closeted sperg that is “really, really“ good at hiding it.) it also explains some of his talents, if that is true. (People on the spectrum have a insane eye and obsession for detail; it could explain why he’s so good at ADR and cinematography/editing.)
Also, despite his seeming hatred for gaming, thanks due to class of 09’s release, Someone was able to find his steam page.
