MDF (particle board) or Polyethylene? -

Which is stronger? I'm buying something and I need it to be durable.

Particle board is more likely to keep its shape under impact, but breaks easier.
Polyethylene typically bends rather than breaks. But will do so with little force.

So yeah, depends what you're doing.

If you need durable(without any other indication of application) use plywood.

Depends. If it's High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and it is fashioned into a geometry with a decent wall thickness, It will be more durable than particle board.

If it's Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) or LDPE) go with particle board. also 2nding make sure you don't use particle board in a high-humidity area.

Yep, that shit swells under in humidity and also easily attracts mold and mildew. Would not recommend for damp basements or anything outdoors.
