Don't post random articles. Unless the subject matter is directly related to Chris and his history, please do not post articles with a loose affiliation. General is where that belongs.

Moved it to General because it could be interesting to talk about in its own right, though it doesn't belong in the Chris forum.

I've think I've heard them using LSD to treat autism with some success, same with marijuana, so MDMA wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Would Chris break his, "No Tobacky" rule, if it meant curing his Tism? Yeah of course he would, remember da Long Island Ice Tea? Hell if he did LSD he might be able to actually see Sonichu and Rosechu.

Winners don't do drugs.
So Chris has probably done MDMA already.

That seems really counter-intuitive. I'd have thought that MDMA would cause sensory-defensiveness to go nuclear.

"Two major committees have approved a study on the use of MDMA to help autistic adults with social anxiety, according to the organization that hopes to conduct the research.
so basically it tries to cure loveshies instead of the autism itself
Bad title. I almost thought there was an actual cure.

Chris on drugs would be like that "flying elephants" video he made, but crazier, he would probably start thinking he was a MLP pony like Derpy Fuck, or Shy Rainbow.

It could really be sad kinda like Flowers for Algernon. Imagine if it made him normal for like 6 hours and as it wore off he could feel himself turning back into Chrissy. :'(

The scientists are DIRTY DANG TROLLS! NOT PERMANENTLY CURING AUTISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but then again knowing him, if he does it he'll blow the :tugboat:, use high doses (knowing him it's going to be an overdose) and eventually raise his tolerance to previously thought impossible levels.

I wouldn't feel bad for Chris though.

I think this would be a huge risk, personally.

MDMA has been known to trigger seizures often, even with small enough doses. Take into consideration that anywhere from 10-30 % of autistic individuals have been diagnosed with epilepsy (the article's a little outdated, I'll admit, (because it's hard to find good, recent, free articles) but take the statistic into consideration). In the aforementioned video, one of the reporters mentions that in the University of Virginia, a study was conducted on prisoners in an effort to get those prisoners to socialize. That much would probably make sense to someone considering one of the largest effects of autism is the role it plays on social interaction. However, the forced socialization and the possibility of epilepsy in autistic individuals could lead up to mental scarring or seizures. Granted, the number of autistic individuals with epilepsy is relatively small, but there is still the fact that MDMA can trigger seizures regardless of if the individual has epilepsy or not.

So what would be some positives from this experiment? Well... it's actually pretty hard to even take into consideration. MDMA has been proven again and again to have no medicinal value whatsoever, not even with minor symptoms of diseases, like how marijuana can increase the appetite of someone suffering from HIV/AIDS, giving it some credibility as a medicinal substance. Perhaps by simply stimulating those with autism, there could be a chance to see autistic individuals socialize more often. However, even that might not work as drugs such as MDMA and caffeine don't have a universal reaction in each and every individual.

So of course it sounds like it's worth at least investigating, but from what I know (which actually isn't a whole lot), it may not yield a favorable result.

Chris doesn't have the healthiest body in the world, and I'm willing to bet a lot of individuals with autism also don't. I don't think x + tism is a good combination.

Chris is OK with doing pills the doing medication the doctor prescribes him. However He'd probably overdo it on Molly when he finds out it makes him feel good. I doubt he'd even see the correlation of it being a "naughty" drug because the "doctor said to take it".

I, however, would love to try Molly.

Has anyone here actually had MDMA? There was some at a party I went to senior year of high school, but it was my first time getting drunk so I didn't do it. So far, no luck finding it in college either. :(

I had a drink spiked with E. It wasn't very pleasant.
