This is not a thread for media that is just bad. Bad things can be enjoyable on their own, even unironically. This is a thread for media that has pissed you off by its badness. Everyone's seen at least one movie or episode of a TV show or whatnot that was this level of bad.

For me, it was Tiny Furniture, Lena Dunham's debut feature, a movie that tried to be both autobiographical and deep, but ended up being one of the shallowest and most flagrantly unintelligent movies I've ever seen. It certainly has the worst lead actor (Dunham) of any movie I've seen.

What movies, television shows, etc., have made you the most angry?

It wasn't necessarily bad when I first started watching it, but Grimm has infuriated me so much that I don't even think I can go back and re-watch the seasons I liked or tackle the seasons that have come after I quit (which, admittedly isn't many, given that NBC says the current/upcoming season is apparently going to be the last).

Spoiler: GETTIN' MAD ABOUT TV SHOWS

It started out as a good enough premise, basically as a cop procedural with supernatural elements thrown in. Following the story of one detective named Nick who it turns out is descended from a line of ancient monster hunters called Grimms, he has to deal with the messes that occur when the underlying monster or 'Wesen' subculture clashes with our own (breaking up organ harvesting rings; domestic disputes between certain species - shit like that).

Then it all started going downhill when they brought the royal family nonsense in and tried to turn it into Game of Thrones. I'm talking murdering off likable characters both literally and characteristically, baby daddy nonsense, love triangles, the whole nine yards. The point I finally stopped was at the end of season three when they basically killed off two of my favorites and gave the fucking zombie witch Cersei Lannister knockoff a lot more screentime. It's only gotten worse from there I've heard, though, now instead of "mysterious and monstrous but still down-to-earth cop show" they've gone full fucking Supernatural with looking for some magical artifact somewhere in the German Black Forest.

...also all my friends won't stop drooling over the police chief bastard prince character and it's super fucking obnoxious.

Hell, it was a whole lot fucking better than Once Upon A Time, which only gets the attention it does because it's Disney's shitshow. Now it's late season Supernatural. At least it's dying with what's left of its dignity, though, unlike the real SPN, now on its 13th season.

...I think the real reason I'm so vehemently pissed about this show going to shit though is that Grimm was what helped me meet some of my friends and inspired me to try writing. Watching the show turn to shit is like watching a favored child turn to drugs.

I was watching Get Him to the Greek with @darkhorse816 and my sister, and I got so pissed at Russell Brand's character I made them stop the movie about halfway through. After reading the TV Tropes page, I determined that might have been a mistake, but I'm not sure if I want to rewatch the film.

At one point he makes Jonah Hill hide drugs in his ass at the airport. The very next scene has him utter a line like "I'm trying to help you!" and that's when I told my sister to stop the movie.

The episode of Horace and Pete where Louis C.K. has a discussion about transsexuals. He's trying so hard to be accommodating, and the woman he's talking to is being so aggressive and obtuse. The whole message behind it that you shouldn't have any problem having sex with someone who used to be a man who got his dick turned inside out into a makeshift vagina and if you don't like that you're wrong just pissed me off.

So it's the same character from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" except in that movie he was sober--in this movie he's relapsed and is on a downward spiral. He's an addict, he does really shitty things but by the end he manages to get clean. Jonah Hill's character is more the lead.

A Serbian Film is by far the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Utterly putrid from start to finish and devoid of any real point that justifies the shit that you're viewing. Thinking about it makes me fear for humanity.

Yes, it is easy to mock Christians like him especially when they're being obnoxiously preachy but Meg's character is that she is family member that is always being shitted on (I think it started when Mila Kunis became her voice actor). And rather than have something new for her, she invites Brian to a book-burning event and he just completely destroys her by saying if God exists and created Meg, she would not have made ugly or have a family that treats her like crap.

In order to keep this relatively short, I've gotta give a cliff's notes of the first two games.

In the first game, Aya first learns about her abilities as an entity named Mitochondria Eve immolates hundreds of people at an opera and, when Aya tries to stop her, inadvertently unseals her own abilities. It turns out that Eve is a form of lifeform based on Mitochondrial evolution and intends to kill every existing form of life in favor of producing superior organisms that can manipulate their own DNA. Due to a mutation she has from a cornea transplant, Aya uniquely is impervious to Eve's induced mutations and has similar abilities she can manifest, and she winds up fighting Eve to the death (and subsequently, her offspring) in NY, successfully killing it and bringing an end to the conflict.

The second game more directly involves Aya because of what transpires. Aya winds up roped into dealing with a series of NMCs (neo mitochondrial creatures; the mutated shit that Eve initially created), and as the plot moves forward it becomes apparent that someone is creating unique versions of NMCs for some nefarious purpose. Aya digs deeper in, and, if you have picked up all the clues to the right ending, finds out that there was a major conspiracy to spread a retrovirus to induce NMC mutation globally. Central to this was a young clone of Aya, raised in an environment to boost her survival instincts, but she had gotten so good at protecting herself that the group that intended to make this plan happen couldn't get to her. In the end, Aya kills an ultimate lifeform or two, helps expose members of the government who had been involved in this plan, and gotten a presidential commendation, as well as an adoptive younger sister in the form of aforementioned clone.

Aya's whole thing is that she's an ex-cop turned investigator with freaky genetic powers that let her burn things alive via spontaneous combustion or poison them by making their cells die. The games establish that a big reason for the differences between her powers in the two games is that Aya didn't use her powers very much between them, causing them to decay (and evolve, as it turns out, when she starts using them again). Parasite Eve as a whole is a very character-driven piece, with its protagonist, Aya Brea, being a bit of an outlier as far as video game heroines go. She's intelligent, sarcastic, and has a sense of dark humor, but she's also someone who's had to deal with a lot of terrible implications brought about by her abilities. She faces down the constant prospect that if she loses it, she could kill a lot of people or worse, turn into something like Mitochondria Eve. Both games are actually based on a book series, which is actually referenced in both games as being canon with them.

By the time The Third Birthday was being produced, Squeenix had lost the Parasite Eve license and apparently didn't want to renew it. They went about making a game without it, which is about as terrible an idea as you might think. Worse, they assigned FFXIII's team to it, which is like taking a bad idea and then convincing Kengle to have sex with it. The result was a game that wasn't necessarily damned from the start, but quickly got that way anyway.

All the characters that are in The Third Birthday and happened to appear in previous games either die horribly soon or are so completely unlike they are supposed to be that you wonder how its possible to be that out-of-touch. To start with, Aya herself is quiet, non-confrontational, and weak - completely unlike the character we actually know from the previous games.

In fact, there's a reason for this - Aya herself isn't Aya at all, but in fact, Eve, her adoptive sister from the second game, who happens to be in her sister's body and yes, we're going into an area just as creepy as you think this might be. In the canon for The Third Birthday, Aya's wedding to PE2's Kyle Madigan (something I could have actually seen happen) was apparently attacked by a SWAT team for reasons never explained by the plot. Eve did.... Something that caused her to inhabit Aya's body and caused the emergence of the Twisted, the enemies of The Third Birthday.

The plot proceeds forwards, making virtually no sense, and featuring time travel because of course it does. During this time you see that Aya is much more obviously sexualized, with the camera often focusing on her ass and her clothes being torn to shreds during combat. So we literally have the spirited, deep, intelligent character from previous games replaced with a meek kittenish upstart who is packed to the gills with fanservice. Whilst the first two games had their share of nudity, it was more-or-less there to get a point across; in The Third Birthday, you could legitimately make the case that there was some for-realz misogyny going on here.

Oh, but Aya isn't the only character to get this treatment, oh no. You get Maeda, one of the most likable, affable characters from PE1, turned into this sick sexual predator in The Third Birthday. Kyle Madigan has no real impact on the plot besides being the guy Aya was going to marry and one of the bosses after he turns into a giant skyscraper-sized monster. Jodie Bouquet, the gossipy weapon shop girl from PE2 shows up in a cutscene, only to be torn in half by one of the Twisted, and though it's not clear whether or not it's actually her, I choose to believe it is given the rampant fucking contempt the game has for its orginal fanbase.

The story is even worse. I'm not fucking kidding.

It all comes to a head later where the real nature of Aya and Eve in The Third Birthday is made clear - and for one, brief, glorious moment, we get old Aya back, the snarky badass. Only to have to murder her to make the Twisted never happen and Aya's 16-year-old clone sister to occupy her body and go on to marry Aya's husband with him nonethewiser and I have to stop here or I'm going to go to Square-Enix and take someone hostage. I want to point out that I played through Revolution 60 without complaint, so you have a general grasp of how bad this story is.

The gameplay starts solid, with a few cool mechanics and good ideas going in that are kind of interesting. It drops all pretense by about mission 3 or 4, however, when you're asked to snipe using the PSP joystick, fight bosses that can only be damaged with a laser weapon that only specific soldiers get and are immediate targets for the boss that can trap them and then instagib them, run from a boss without clear paths you're supposed to escape to, or accomplish objectives for ranking (which unlocks things) that you will never accomplish because the objectives are designed to be failed (ONE SHOT THESE TWO ENEMIES WITH A SNIPER RIFLE BEFORE THEY CAN KILL ANY SOLDIERS! THEIR WEAKPOINT IS THE SIZE OF A QUARTER AND THEY MOVE ABOUT LIKE THEY JUST SNORTED COCAINE).

Any good thing the game does gameplay or level design wise it fucks up within a level.
Guaranteed.

Subsystems are a wreck too. The DNA Board is a terrible mechanic solely there to force you to reroll approximately a billion times to get the rolls you want. Weapons are never properly explained or contextualized and their unlock mechanics are fucking bullshit.

And then there's Aya's unlockable outfits:

I hate almost every youtube let's player these days. They all piss me off with how forced their reactions are and how overly enthused they are to be playing some shitty flash game. Their routines are painfully predictable and tiresome. They pander to the lowest common denominator and don't even have the courtesy to provide insightful or entertaining commentary. The exceptions to this are people like Joel from Vinesauce who are just overall great.
