Then again, if Capcom made 11 in the same NES style, we'd be hearing complaints about "WHY this game look the same?" or "Why can't capcom change the style already?" instead.

It’s a shame they can apply their “the gameplay makes the game, and not the graphics” arguement to 8-bit but not to 3D.
They should learn not to get so invested in a franchise they consistently call dead or ruined.
The reason is that most people who want new installments in old video games want everything to be the same as when they were a kid, (not autistic at all), and this mentality causes people to feel attacked when a franchise updates itself, see Sonic Mania vs Sonic Forces. Or Megaman 9 vs Megaman 11.
Man I wanted a new Megaman game for so long I'm very happy we are finally getting one.
