These updates keep reminding me of the last chapter of Evangelion. In every page I feel like if I could just scratch the finishing layer of absolute-crap-quality-cheapass-product I could pretty much look at the author's ego death happening in real time.
Except, you know, the actual content/message/whatever differs a lot. The last chapter of Evangelion was "Everything is fucking shit but I'm the shittiest shit there is, I'm unlovable worthless fucking garbage and I wish there was a way I could deserve being alive" while current Floraverse is more like "Everything that happens to me is fucking shit and why isn't everyone choking on my gigantic ego's phallus, I just want to be forever blind to my mistakes why won't you let me". So I guess it only reminds me of all the ways the last chapter of Evangelion was a turd and not of the ways I found it interesting (I won't go on about them both because it would be autistic and because I don't want to give glip any ideas about how to make these retarded picture blogs relatable or believable in any way).

The core message of evangelion is that indulging in endless escapism will only rot your brain, obviously she has never seen it or never looked into it because she's doing exactly what the show warned about.
She has mixed her real life and the events transpiring in it with her comics and drawings, she draws these shitty ms paint drawings to cope with the truths she's presented with, her comics are a place where no one can catch her slipping or present the full truth of everything she's done, the comic filters anything that would hurt her and only leave deceptive half truths she can manage to answer and justify, and with this she justifies herself to...herself, this shows real bad when she got the Lain document, which was something that was outside of her control, she had to "correct" the apology. Its obviously convincing no one as the patreon numbers only drop every month.
What this results in is a cycle of endless escapism that self-justifies deflecting the truth of what's happening and continue to live in willful ignorance because admitting she fucked up without putting "if" and "buts" would kill her.
Which also aligns with the "reenacting trauma trough self insert" she wants everyone else to be trapped in this cycle with her, its shows how specially fucked up this all is when you realize there's minors in there and she gets profit from it

Firstly, while I did cut off from them I still saw posts or tweets about Glip and Vee. Usually a reference to callout posts or the kiwifarms thread. Never about Marl. This bothered me so fucking much. I can't Express to you how upsetting it is that he was just an afterthought in all of this. When he was. The main problem. Curiously went to kiwifarms to see their response to Marl. There was little about him!!

Kiwifarms and other people compiled what they could of Marl before he nuked everything, no one ever argued he was innocent, people where blaming Glip for letting him go free, she clearly knows his current identity and location, she doesn't share or do anything with it to this day, also Eevee is just getting shit on because he himself is defending pedophilia on the internet and completely unrelated to the whole Marl deal lol, i don't know if Rootie willfully ignored all of this or if she genuinely doesn't know

Instead the topic got redirected to Glip for some reason.

Because with or without Marl she's always been an abusive cunt, just because she was nice to you doesn't absolve her of all her well documented wrong doings, you yourself said you barely interacted, i don't get why you feel like protecting them

And I thought about it. Marl is free. He won. Despite all of this shit he's out there living his dandy merry fucking happy life with someone named Val or whatever.

It's not so much that you weren't aware you were lying Glip, it's that it happened at all so often. If you get things wrong so many times, people are going to start questioning what else you lied about, intentionally or not. And yes, that means some will even doubt you were ever abused. I can't say I agree on that end, but I also can't sit here and say I don't understand why someone wouldn't believe you were abused either after all this.

Well god damn. Rootie was one of the artists I found through Floraverse and kept following since they had a good head on their shoulders - they mention at some point it wasn't publicly obvious that they were dating Marl and I can add anecdotal credence to that.

It's weird that Glip didn't take down their ForFlor comic when they asked, only removing their name. I also think it's telling that they were afraid of lending credence to evidence against Marl, between their health issues and fear of being harassed since PK/Vee were incredibly public figures at the time, not just by the crowd nitpicking every detail but by those two as well. Those two were so deadset on shielding Marl (and by extension, PK who was the crew's face) that they terrified one of the two people in their household who could've said "Yeah Marl is a piece of shit actually" into silence. I understand KF is another scary group to have your words scrutinized by, but not being able to speak to your own housemates is a little....

I don't know if Rootie will ever read this, but the reason a lot of the focus is on PK/Vee is because they're the closest to having any idea where Marl even is. I understand where Rootie is coming from, and if they read this I want to give some information for them. This might get power levely, sappy and stupid, sorry.

I feel like it's worth disclosing that I, and a few others have been searching for Marl in our own time but have come up with nothing. There are no substantial leads. Nothing to work with. I've even been in contact with a las vegas detective a few years back that was investigating him and gave her every piece of information I had. We don't really discuss him here on this site because we have nothing to work with. Part of me has always hoped that putting pressure on Glip would get them to give us something, anything, to work with to find that motherfucker. But now that Glip is finally being cooperative on that front it's too late and he's gone if their claims are to be believed. Marl outplayed all of us by being able to keep his dumb mouth shut and Glip/Eevee helped him do that by ignoring/defrauding his victims and by being giant distractions from him. And I think yeah, it's pretty fair to say we played into that at least a little bit. It's frustrating, and I believe that Rooties blame is misplaced in how Marl got away, but it's understandable how she reached that conclusion. Marl played his cards right by the end of the day and used Glip, Eevee, The Farms, and his victims to do it.

Exty actually did release a statement a couple of years ago. His story was basically, "I didn't realize bestiality was happening at the home until after I saw BigFluff's logs." Of course, now Glip is saying otherwise.

For a long time, I have privately wondered if Exty was an accomplice of Marl's and fully down with bestiality. It didn't make sense that Exty could have slept with Marl, lived with Marl, and not known about his fetishes. But after reading Rootie's statement, I wonder if Exty was a grooming victim just like Rootie, and snapped out of it as he grew up.

If Exty was a victim I'm not sure I can blame him for lying and saying he had no idea dog-fucking was going on... Admitting that you watched bestiality happen in real life is, well, a secret that most people would take to the grave. If you're trying to be a career artist, it's risky to post a document for the whole public (and potentially, future clients/employers) where you talk about having wanted to fuck a dog at some point in your life.

I'm still very surprised Rootie had the courage to admit she got caught up in it too, since Rootie, like Exty, is fairly private and reserved online. I read her previous statement and figured that would be her final word on the matter. This new account must have been difficult for her to write, but it helps shed some more light about what the fuck was going on in that house, so I really appreciate her posting it.

P.S. To those of you "Twitter spergs" lurking the thread: reminder that we don't directly harass people, so have an ounce of self-control and don't go after Exty, who may very well be a victim here.

iRootie's anger is justified, though a little misplaced. No one here thought Marl was innocent in this. Neither did those who would make the callouts on twitter. The problem is that none of us knew where Marl even was. How do you fight an invisible enemy? How to you warn people online about someone when you don't even have a concrete username or an address? The only person who knew where he was and what he was doing was Glip. They had all the power to do something about this and they didn't until far too late. I'm not saying to put all the blame on them, as obviously Marl is an abuser, but to pin the blame on everyone else who had little to no info on him while absolving the ones who did doesnt make sense.

Obviously callouts are a reflection of priority. Glip had an audience. Eevee did, too. As far as anyone knew /they were in on this and shielding Marl/. Their actions against those who spoke out lended credence to this. They cruelly dragged those who came forward. Their stories changed so often it became hard to trust. They allowed Marl's apology to be posted. They allowed Marl to get away. Hell, they were aware of his telegram while pressing for the divorce and still didn't share anything. So, who do you end up going after and holding accountable when Marl is nowhere to be seen? The one who let him go.

Back when it happened their actions can be understood, they where young and inexperienced, with little to no concept of a healthy relationship, having to come to terms with the abuse is something that takes time, and usually something you want to keep private. While Glip's and Eevee's match up, iRootie's is a little different. Marl crying with Glip' consoling him the night before could be unrelated, but the timing is curious. It makes it sound as if it was Glip's idea to rehome Apollo (making Marl upset). Again, only an assumption and could be unrelated entirely.
The other thing is that both Glip and Eevee claim to not have known until the day Apollo was gone, while iRootie was told he was at the vet and had possibly died. Eevee even drew memorial art?? If it was known he was rehomed, why draw memorial art as if he died? Why not just tell iRootie he was rehomed, too? It just seems kind of a weird detail.
