My guess is nostalgia. She used to be a huge furry presence in the early 2000's and saturated their galleries and such with furry art from popular fandoms like Pokemon and Sonic. Honestly even if you look at her old art, it's pretty overrated compared to other works but she followed this 'quantity over quality' kind of method. Also she was very shameless about drawing a lot of porn that covered the furry spectrum of fetishes no matter how deranged they were. She was very good at quickly plastering her sloppy art everywhere when there was a fad going on like Steven Universe or MLP.

Sure she doesn't draw as much now and her art definitely got worse but I see it as a SpoonyOne situation where some furry freaks have the hope that she will get out of this hole and make content again once they 'fix her'. However you can argue that Spoony's past content had more entertainment value and merit than PK's sick bestiality and shota porn.

It's filled with late-teens and young adults who aren't familiar with what a healthy community actually looks like, this is just among the first they've found that "works" and comes with free "therapy" (or people that are obligated to try and understand you). This is a bunch of people who have already deemed theirselves as outcasts, being not only furries, but furries who sympathize with black sheep content creators such as PK and Eevee, so they think they can't go anywhere better.

In other words, it's a condensed furry community where the members aren't lost in a gigantic sea of other generic-as-fucks, but maybe they'll get a cameo appearance in somebody else's therapy art one day if they act fucked-up enough, because that's the standard PK has presented.
