It all boils down to finding shit to do outside with your kids, which is fucking simple and people have been doing it for thousands of years. She keeps harping about what is technically outdoor recreation, or outdoor activities. Her target audience doesn't know or care about the difference. They are just looking to plan some fun stuff outside with kids. Who gives a flying fuck if you are on a climbing wall or catching fireflies and what either is technically called according to a book no one is buying?

Therefore "activity" includes, among others, recreation \ recreational activity.
Outdoors - a place or location away from the confines of a building \ the world away from human habitations
Therefore "outdoors" is synonymous with "in nature".
This makes "outdoor recreation" and "nature activities" pretty much synonymous, with "outdoor recreation" being limited to activities performed just for the fun of performing them when "nature activities" can have wider meaning.
Melinda doesn't know how the English language works. She always comes up with her own definitions. Also, synonymous maybe to large of a word for her to understand.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation which required 25 classes specialized in the topic and 1000s of hours of reading in the field. No professor in the field would make this statement that you made above. There's a whole library full of scholastic writings on what Outdoor Recreation is. It's not what you just stated.

As it is now, you say I'm wrong and provide your creds but without any actual explanation and I'm as ignorant as I was before.
And a thing you must consider - if nobody here knows the difference, your target audience (that is, I assume, regular people without a degree in the field) won't know it either so that's something you should address in your promotional videos.

It's now a BS Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources course.
She claims she wants to get a PhD in the field. Thing is though, it's a field where you have to get your Masters first then your PhD. No other reason for it other than to milk as much money as possible from the few people who take it. It's not like the one school I'm going to in a year that allows you to basically take both and shave off a year.narcissistic gaslighting

I'd like to be a Professor eventually. I'll probably be one of the ones all the students think is a weirdo but also funny and good at teaching.
I think they re-named it "Recreation Management" because telling a potential employer that you have a "B.S. in Health, Fitness and Recreation Resources with a concentration in Parks and Outdoor Recreation" is a mouthful.
It's not like being able to say your major in one or two words...

My education was one of the best things that happened to me. I don't regret a single day I spent at GMU, for so many reasons. It's not just the money I will earn back from the degree over the next 45 years of my life, it's many non-monetary things I gained from higher education.

That's not even true. Not only does Marshall apparently make work trips, what about all of those times that you've left him? Remember, back when you fled Marshall and Wise County forever? I'm pretty sure that was couple of months. He's nobody's idea of a catch, but he does have a job and he doesn't do drugs as far as I know. That makes him pretty attractive for Wise County. But you obviously have spent considerable time away from him where you had no idea what he was doing or where he was.
Also, reminder that Marshall started his emotional affair with you while he was still married to his first wife. He was even trying to reconcile with her before the domestic violence incident. I know you say his first marriage doesn't count as religiously valid, but strip that away and it's just a man being willing to cheat on his significant other. If he'll start a long-distance romance once, he could do it again.
