This class of cow has always existed but with the new culture wars raging these cows have become more common/active. In Southern United States, "Injun blood" is often just a misleading euphemism for black ancestry. Since in the antebellum South, landowning Indians of the Five Civilized Tribes (Cherokees, Creek, Seminoles, Chickasaw and Chocktaw) were higher up on the racial hierarchy than blacks, it's more socially acceptable to explain non-white traits through Indian ancestry rather than enslaved blacks.
