Feedback Merge most rat king threads -

The majority of rat king threads are short and repetitive, but there are many of them, and they're pushing other threads down to other pages.
I propose that most rat king threads except for the top few (let's say 4) be merged into one general thread, since most of them produce so little content. We should also agree to not create new rat king threads unless the cow has been put into the new general thread and is generating so much content and discussion that the thread agrees that they should be split off.

I just checked the front page (I use New Posts as front page), and out of 50 posts, 4 are Rat Kings.

This is hardly crowding out all the other content, and these are all notable. If the other threads are just short stubs and aren't generating content anyway, how are they crowding anything out?

The OPs, mostly by @chimpburgers, are generally pretty well researched with a good methodology but he might have gone a bit overboard in creating so many of them, mostly inspired by the rich vein of comedy gold that Nora Reed represents. There has never been a Twitter idiot who has so many followers who are all themselves absolute morons.

If we're going to merge threads, though, I don't like picking some arbitrary number. The ones that are on the front page now belong there.

Merging the little stub threads that aren't likely to amount to anything makes sense. Maybe pick some arbitrary time and just merge anything that hasn't had action in a week or so? I don't know. That really wouldn't deal with the issue of these threads clogging the catalog, though, as they aren't active anyway.

I suppose this post could have been a way of stating in a neutral, pragmatism-based way that the site has an unhealthy and pointless obsession with trannies and it looks bad and is getting a bit silly. That's not going away though until some other batch of cows comes along.

tl;dr maybe we should merge the batch of older threads that generated little to no activity but that wouldn't solve the stated problem of pushing other threads down because that isn't happening anyway.

Not even all the Rat Kings are tranny though. Despite that being an important part initially.

Daniel Klein, Andri Erlingson, David Gallant and Dana Addams are all cis but we found them in connection to Nora Reed and co.

Though yeah, obsessing over transgender lolcow people's a bit creepy to say the least. But we do have a bunch like Laurelai, Fire, Andrea Ritsu, and Locria, etc that are definite lolcows.

I don't think the Rat Kings in main lolcow should get merged, but I do think a bunch of the shit I've seen in lolcow general needs to get merged into the Rat King general thread. Such as "why are all tranny lolcows lesbian" and threads like it.

Alternatively there should be a Norasphere subforum or a ⚥ subforum in general.
