The difference is, with the PS4 they made a games console and added social functions, with the Xbone they made a social/tv device and added a games console. You have the option of just not using the share button or social network connectivity with PS4, where as you're forced to pay up the extra that the bundled in Kinect adds to the Xbone's price and it's use is mandatory.

I actually think a lot of the extra features for Xbone are pretty nifty, my main problem is that they seem to be the main focus for the device and require a significant amount of the resources to be dedicated to them.
